Mom: What would you like for dinner, Amy?

Amy: I'd like some bread, beef and milk.

Mom: What about you, Mike?

Mike: I'd like some beef and noodles.

Mom: Would you like some chicken or soup, Amy?

Amy: I'd like some chicken.

    Tomorrow is June first. It's Children's Day. I am going to have a happy holiday. I am going to go to the library and read books. I am going to go to the park and take pictures with my friends. I am going to play computer games with my brother. I am going to help my mother make dinner. I am going to go shopping with my mother.

    My name is Tom. I like shopping very much, but I never go shopping on weekends. There are too many people in shop. I don't like shopping with other people. It usually takes me much time to buy things because I never buy the first thing I see. I always look around other shops to find the same thing cheaper. I'm good at finding cheap things. I don't like buying food in small shops or street markets. I think food in the supermarket is fresh and cheap.

    On Christmas Eve—the night before Christmas Day—children are very happy. They put their stockings at the end of their beds before they go to bed. They want Father Christmas to give them some presents.

    Mr. Green tells his children that Father Christmas is a very kind man, He comes on Christmas Eve. He lands on the roof of each house and comes down the chimney into the fireplace and brings them a lot of presents.

    On Christmas Day the children wake up very early. They can't wait to open the presents in their stockings. Then they wake up their parents and say, “Merry Christmas!”

    Do you know what Christmas means? Christmas Day is the birthday of Jesus Christ. When Christ was born, many people gave him presents. So today, people still do the same thing to each other.

    I'm Lisa. I'm ten years old. It's sunny and warm outside. I get up at 6:00 am. I go to shoe shop with my mom and dad in the morning. I want a pair of new shoes. I try on the new shoes of size five but they are too small. Then I try size six and they are just right. So I take them. They are very pretty but in the afternoon we go to my Grandpa's house. We have dinner at 6:30p.m.We eat tomatoes, green beans, fish, chicken, beef and noodles. And we have a very big birthday cake, too. What a big dinner! It's really a nice birthday for me. I'm very happy with my family.
