Asher Angel, an American child actor, was born on 6 September, 2002. He has performed in more than 10 theatre productions. Most of the time, he is occupied. His workday is from 9 a. m. to 6 p. m. during the week. "I go to sleep when I get home, with weekends off," Asher said. However, he loves animals and always finds time to help them.

Asher and his family became interested in animal rescue after their beloved dog. Avery, died of illness. They volunteer at a local animal rescue centre called Home Fur Good. Asher walks, feeds and plays with the dogs at the rescue centre.

In his home, Asher has three dogs, one cat and two hamsters, and they are mostly rescued pets. He loves all his pets and could not imagine his life without them. His acting work keeps him away a lot, but he loves to play with his dogs (Monet Belle, Harper Belle and Cleo Belle) as soon as he gets home. They are super excited to see him every time. Asher has a special relationship with Monet Belle. He says, "Her eyes look like a human's, and I can talk to her. She comforts (安慰) me when I need her."

Asher is really excited about his new role in Andi Mack, because the character of Jonah Beck is a lot like him: thoughtful and sensitive (敏感的). He also got the chance to learn to play Frisbee (飞碟), which was really fun, especially since Asher also loves sports.

Asher showed an interest in acting at an early age and he has a dream of becoming a professional full-time actor in the future.

The village of Hengly was going to have the Bean Olympics. It was a competition to see which kind of bean would grow the fastest and the tallest. Everybody was excited. They couldn't wait to show their best plants.

Cassie knew clearly which bean she would choose for the competition, for her family had planted a special "family bean" .It was a flat bean that her great-grandparents had brought from Sicily. Her grandmother planted the beans every year and served them at many meals. Cassie was sure they would be unbeatable beans.

However, the plan did not work out that way. Although Cassie's bean plants looked healthy with beautiful purple flowers, they did not grow as fast or climb as high as any of her neighbours. These people chose beans from seed(种子)shops. Their beans had wonderful names like "Rocket "or" Top Crop". One type was even named "King's Bean". That was the bean Ivan planted, and his plants climbed almost to the top of the fence. Cassie's plants were just near the middle of the fence.

On the day of the competition, Cassie was disappointed that her beans were in last place. Ivan laughed at her beans and said she could win a prize for the slowest, shortest bean.

The organizer, Mr Williams, handed out medals for the fastest-growing and the tallest bean plants." Now there remains only one final test, and it is just as important: the taste test."

Mr Williams cooked the beans from each competitor and chose five experienced villagers as judges(裁判).

Cassie was nervous. Would her family beans lose another time?

After the judges tasted the beans, Mr Williams counted the results.

"We have a winner, "Mr Williams announced." The judges all agree that Cassie's beans are the winner."

Cassie grinned at this unexpected result. Many of her neighbours, even Ivan asked for her seeds. They were all in favour of the good-tasting beans even though they didn't grow fast or very tall.

We arrived at our new house in the city. I took my dog Max with me. Grandpa offered to keep Max on his farm, but I refused. Although I would visit Grandpa every weekend, I couldn't give up Max for five days a week! Dad and Mom started cleaning the new house right away, and I took a chain (链条), tied it to Max's collar (颈圈) and walked him to the yard. I felt sorry as he looked at me with sad eyes. He wanted to run freely.

At last Friday came, and we packed to go to the farm. "Let's walk Max to the car," Mom said, tying the chain to his collar.

As soon as Mom opened the door, Max ran away. Mom and I jumped into the car and caught up to him, who was running beside the road with his tongue sticking out. Then he rushed into the road. A coming car came to a sudden stop. Mom shouted "Sorry" to the driver. We ran after Max all the way to the park before he was ready to get in the car.

Finally, we got back to Grandpa's farm. Returning to this old place, Max seemed to be back to his happy days. He ran across the field, leaving the vegetables in a mess. He barked at the chickens and scared them to fly in every direction and ran after the birds. "He loves the life on the farm, doesn't he?" laughed Grandpa. I pretended (假装) not to hear it.

When we got ready to leave on Sunday, Max's eyes no longer shone. As we walked him to our car, he tried to run away. This time, I held the chain tightly (紧紧地). However, my heart tightened at his sad sounds-he was begging! ____▲____. As I watched Max run to the farm, I couldn't help crying. Mom said, "Dear, this is what love is all about."

It's not easy to learn maths well. Students need to remember many formulas(公式) and do lots of maths exercises. Now, more and more students in the United Kingdom learn maths the way Chinese students do.

In 2017, a whole set of Shanghai's primary school maths textbooks, Real Shanghai Maths, went on the UK's book market. There are 36 books, including a Teacher Guide, Textbook and Pupil Pract ice Book for each grade(1-6), according to Xinhua.

The books are translated(被翻译) word- for- word from the Chinese versions(版本). The only change is the price. The Chinese yuan becomes the British pound.

This is not the first time the UK has learnt from China's months instruction(教学). Since 2014, the UK has invited many junior high school and primary school maths teachers in Shanghai to take part in the teaching in its schools. In 2015, the publishing house Collins Learning introduced the practice book One Lesson, One Exercise to Britain. There are 11 books for 11grades, from primary school to high school.

This is because the UK doesn't want its students to fall behind. In the 2012 Programme for International Student Assessment(国际学生评估项目), Shanghai students were No.1 in maths. British students, however, were No.26.

" This will help young people be prepared for further study," said Nick Gibb, minister of Britain's schools.
