Hi, my name is Eason. I am English because I was born in England, but I am also British because England is 1 of the UK.

    I live in a typical(典型的) English family. I have a father, a mother and a sister.

    We all live together in a house in a town in the south east corner of England. At the back of our house we have our 2 where I play with my sister. My family has a car, a computer, a colour TV with a DVD, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a cat. Mum and Dad both have mobile phones. I am hoping to get one soon. My favourite subjects at school are Science and History. My favourite topic in history is the ancient Egypt(古埃及). I also enjoy 3 lessons- we play football, netball, cricket and sometimes we go cross-country running.

    Every Saturday my family and I go into town to the open 4 . People sell vegetables, clothes, toys, posters, and nearly(几乎) 5 else out on the street. Mum buys her fruit and vegetables there. I enjoy just wandering(闲逛) looking at all the things for sale, hoping my parents will buy me something. Sometimes I am lucky. I love my family very much.

Mobile phones are becoming more and more popular not only with adults but also with students. However, they also have become a problem for middle schools in the last few years.

Some children have got mobile phones as Christmas or birthday gifts, and more will ask their parents to buy phones for them.

Many students like mobile phones because they are easy and quick. Some parents feel it convenient because they can get in touch with their children. Some teachers think using mobile phones is a distraction(分心的事)to students during school hours and mobile phones also give them much trouble in their classrooms. Sometimes students send phone messages to cheat(作弊)during exams. A new study says that some teenagers even hurt their fingers because of the over-use of mobile phones. They keep using mobile phones for more than ten hours during a day.

Many teachers suggest that students should not have phones at school, but if there is a good reason, they can leave their phones at the school office. Many people think they understand why parents would want their children to have them, but they agree school should let the students know when they can use their mobile phones.

We have a big playground in our school. We all like to 1 games there.It's Friday. We only have two classes 2 the afternoon. When school is over,a lot of students and teachers go to the playground. Look! The boys of Grade Two are 3 a basketball match. Some girls are 4 it and shouting. On the other side of the playground, many 5 are playing football. Football is their favorite 6 . They can teach well, and they can play football well, too. How about Li Ming, Li Lei and Wei Fang? They are students of Grade One. They are playing 7 . They are on the school volleyball team and they play it really well. They 8 win! It's half past five now. It's time to 9 . The students all leave the playground. We are happy because tomorrow is a 10 Saturday.

In order to know a foreign language thoroughly（彻底地）, four things are necessary. Firstly, we must be able to understand the language when we hear it. Secondly, we must be able to speak it by ourselves correctly, with confidence and without hesitation（犹豫）. Thirdly, we must be able to read the language. Fourthly, we must be able to make up sentences that are grammatically correct. We must know how to put sentences into paragraphs in order to write a good letter or article. 

There is no easy way to succeed in learning a foreign language. A good memory（记忆力）is of much help, but it is not enough to simply remember rules from a grammar book. It is no much use learning long words and their meanings by heart. 

We must learn not only words but also the use of them in sentences. We must learn by using the language. "Learn through using" is a good piece of advice for people to study a new language. Practice is very important. We must practice speaking and writing the language whenever we can. 

No one is born a winner. People make themselves into winners by their own effort. 

I learned this lesson from a（n）1 many years ago. I worked as a new football coach（教练） at a university in State of Georgia. 

It was a tradition for the school's old team in the club to play against a2 team at the end of the term. The old team had no coach，and they didn't even practice to prepare for the game. Being the coach of the new team，I helped them practice once a week and I thought we were sure to 3 ，but to my surprise，we lost the game. I could 4 believe that I had got into such a situation. After thinking hard about it，I came to realize that I might be too 5 about ourselves. I had to change my attitude （态度） and the way of training. 

Instead of seeing my boys as losers，I pushed and 6 them. I started doing anything I could to help them. That summer，when other teams 7 their holidays，we met every day and practiced passing and kicking the football. 

Six months later，we won our first game and our second，and continued to head in. Finally，we faced the number one team in the state. Before the game，I thought even if we lost the game，it would still be a8 for us. But that didn't happen. My boys beat the best team in the state，giving me one of the 9 memories of my life! 

From the experience，I learnt a lot about how the attitude of a leader could change a team. I helped them to see themselves 10 ，and they built themselves into winners. 

Winners are made，but not born.
