Bruce likes playing1a river（河）. But there2a river near his new house. He is not very happy.

    One day, he asks3mother,“4a river near here?”“No, there5”,his mother says, “But6new house has a garden.” “I don't like7”says Bruce.

    Then, to his surprise, Eddie heard a sound and looked over at the crowd to see them cheering for 15.

And there was his dad, with the proudest smile of all.

I'm ready to do my first jump 10 months after a skydiving(特技跳伞) accident. I can't wait! That accident almost killed me and it made me stay in hospital for half a year. During the boring long days, I didn't feel happy to be alive (活着的). I was wondering how I could live without my favourite sport.

It all started on an evening after nine-to-five o'clock. I was sitting on the sofa when an ad (广告) came on the television— try skydiving. The next day, I went to the skydiving school in my town. At the end of the day's lessons, I knew I found the right sport for me.

I would never forget my first jump. Five of us walked to the runway and got into a plane. I. was afraid, but the others were talking and joking, and I started to feel a little relaxed. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the sun was just. going down. Soon it was time to jump. As I jumped from the plane, I shouted. But then everything became quiet. It was the most wonderful four minutes of my life.

From the first jump, I was hooked. I started spending all my free time skydiving. It became my reason for living. Things were going really well. Then an accident happened on my 104th jump. I broke my both legs, right arm and nose. I stayed in hospital for six months, but I. still couldn't forget skydiving.

My mother couldn't understand why the only reason I wanted to get better was to go skydiving again. But for me, skydiving is life, and life is skydiving.

Hi, my name is Robert. Last summer I had a great vacation. I went on a trip with my parents by1 for two weeks. During（在…期间）the first week, we drove for four to six hours a day,2 we never felt tired. At night we stayed in big hotels. Many hotels had swimming pools. I was very happy to3 there. There were many people in the hotels and the rooms there were4 , so we often had to sleep in one room to save some money.

Grandparents called me one day. They asked me to spend my vacation with them. They lived in a village. It was quiet and cool in summer. I was very happy and thanked them. I told them to go when my summer vacation began. 

It was July 15th. My parents took me to the supermarket and we bought some delicious food for my grandparents. The next morning dad took me to the train station. It was the first time for me to have a trip by myself. But I wasn't afraid and felt relaxed. The train left at eight twenty. I looked out of the window and found it was beautiful outside. I wasn't tired at all. At three twenty in the afternoon I arrived at the station. I saw my grandpa standing outside. I got off the train and ran to him. He was happy when he saw me. His village was about two kilometers from the station. We got there by bus. There were lots of trees and flowers around it. The village looked very beautiful. 

Once upon a time, a fox（狐狸）was walking along a road. He saw some beautiful grapes hanging over a high wall. He stopped to look at the grapes. They looked nice to eat. The fox wanted to eat the grapes very much, but he couldn't reach them. So he jumped as high as he could. Sometimes his nose touched a grape, but his mouth could not reach it. The fox jumped and jumped until he was very tired.

Finally he stopped jumping and walked away with his nose held high. He said,"I don't need those grapes. They look nice but I'm sure they are sour."

In our daily life, when people can't get something they want, they may say,"The grapes are sour."
