I have moved to my new school since September.  It is a modern and nice school in Beijing. It has a playground, a library, severallabs, classrooms with electronic equipment and so on. It's quite different from my old school. It's larger, much more modern. This is why I love my new school.  If you are free, you are warmly welcomed to visit our school.

    Do you think you can communicate (交流) without words?A smile on your face shows you are happy or friendly. Tears in your eyes tell others that you are sad. When you raise your hand in class, the teacher knows you want to say something or ask questions. You shake your head, and people know you are saying "No". You nod and people know you are saying "Yes".

    People can communicate in many other ways. An artist can use his drawings to tell about beautiful mountains, about the blue sea and many other things.

    Books can tell you about all the wonderful things in the world and also about people and their ideas. Books,magazines, TV and films all help us to communicate with each other. They all help us to know what is going on in the world and what other people are thinking about.

  Today is Sunday. Mike's family are at home. His father Mr. Black is reading a book in the living room. His mother is cooking in the kitchen. His brother Tom and his friend John are playing chess in the bedroom. His grandpa and grandma are watching TV in the living room. Where is Mike? He is doing his homework.

    The Double Ninth Festival(重阳节)is a Chinese festival. It is in October or November. It is a festival for old people. People visit their parents and grandparents. They also climb mountains and eat osmanthus jelly (桂花糕) at this festival.

Liu Tao: Good morning, Yang Ling.

Yang Ling: Good morning, Liu Tao.

Liu Tao: Look at these toy monkeys on the sofa.

Yang Ling: Wow, how beautiful! Whose are they?

Liu Tao: They are mine(我的).

Yang Ling: How many toy monkeys do you have?

Liu Tao: Thirteen. Do you have any toy animals?

Yang Ling: No, I don't.

Liu Tao: Here's a toy monkey for you.

Yang Ling: Thank you.

Liu Tao: That's all right.

    Amy and Tom are going to have a busy day next Sunday. In the morning, Tom is going to visit his aunt and Amy is going to buy a cat in the pet shop. Tom is going to have lunch with his aunt. After lunch, Amy is going to borrow some magazines and comic books in the library. Tom is going to buy a dictionary and a new CD in the bookshop. Finally, Amy and Tom are going to buy some apples and go home by subway.
