Tomorrow is June first. It's Children's Day. I am going to have a happy holiday. I am going to go to the library and read books. I am going to go to the park and take pictures with my friends. I am going to play computer games with my brother. I am going to help my mother make dinner. I am going to go shopping with my mother.

    A man was traveling abroad in a small red car. One day he left the car and went shopping. When he came back, its roof was badly damaged.

    Some boys told him that an elephant had damaged it. The man did not believe them, but they took him to a circus(马戏团) which was near there. The owner of the elephant said, “I am very sorry! My elephant has a big, round, red chair. He thought that your car was his chair, and he sat on it!"

    Then he gave the man a letter, in which he said that he was sorry and that he would pay for all the damage.

    When the man got back to his own country, the customs（海关） officers wouldn't believe his story. They said, “You sold your new car while you were abroad（国外） and bought this old one!"

    It was only when the man showed them the letter from the circus man that believed him.

    I have five good friends. They're Tom, Jim, Kitty, Peter and Sally. We like different sports. Tom likes playing football. Jim is tall and thin. He likes playing basketball. He is good at it. Kitty likes playing volleyball. Peter likes playing table tennis with me. Sally likes playing badminton(羽毛球). How about me? I like swimming.

    I'm Linda. I'm from Australia. I like dancing and playing the violin. I play the violin three times a week. I also like traveling. I want to visit the Mogao Caves this summer vacation. I have a friend. She's from China. She likes swimming and taking photos. She swims once a week. She also wants to visit the Mogao Caves. We will take many photos there.

    Every kind of animals has their own way to live well in winter. In winter, the weather gets colder and colder. There is snow on the ground. Some animals sleep all the winter. These animals eat plenty of food in autumn. They need little or no food when they sleep. Some birds fly to the south for winter. They go to a warmer place to look for food. Some animals get much food in autumn and keep it at home. They may grow new and thick fur in autumn, too. Then they can feel warmer. In winter some animals live in the trees or under the ground.

    Mary and Kate are sisters. They just had a physical examination(体检). These are some of the results.
