My name is Carol Brown. I am a middle school student. I have some 1 at school and at 2. And I think every student has school rules and family rules.
We can't get to 3late. We have to finish our homework first 4we can go out and play. We can't stay out 5school nights. We have to be 6in the library. Do you have these rules?
Some students think these rules are 7, and they don't like them. But I don't think so. I think these rules can help us 8. If we don't follow 9, how can we be good 10our study? For example, our teachers 11us to clean our classroom every day. If we 12, the classroom will be very dirty. It is bad for our health, too. If your parents ask you to be in bed early and you don't listen to them, you can't 13on time next morning.
Everyone 14some rules. And we must 15them. Don't you think so?
It was Saturday morning. Little Jim was very 1 because there weren't any classes. He 2 his homework first. Then he said to his mother, "Could you take me to the 3?" Jim's mother was just free, so she answered, "OK. Good 4!" They were going to 5 some food.6 they were hungry, they could have it. They decided (决定) to take a 7 there because there were different people on it, and they could 8 their time together. When they 9 to the beach, Jim and his mother were very happy. They had a great 10 there. They played beach volleyball, but they weren't good 11 it. They were very happy with 12 players. Then they 13 in the water. Jim made three new friends there. They played games happily together. After going back home, Jim 14 an email to his best friend Dave. He told Dave 15 happen that day and how happy they were!
Dear Sally,
How are you? Today I had a (的确) busy day! In the morning I went to the supermarket and bought some fruit and lots of v like potatoes, onions and cabbages. I also bought some meat like chicken and mutton. At about 11:00 I helped Mom make dumplings. Mm, they were delicious. After lunch, I felt tired so I relaxed half an hour. Next I started to do my homework. After an hour I went to the museum with my sister Lisa. It was very strange (奇怪的) today it was very dark in the museum. There were many (游客), and it was also noisy there. I could hear some people (交谈) there. Because of these things, I wasn't i in all the things in the museum. Lisa and I (离开) there and went to the c. We watched an old movie the Lion King. Wow, it was really excellent movie! If you are free, you can watch it.
In my free time, I always enjoy reading, watching TV and walking in the countryside. But my favorite is to go shopping with my friends. Do you like it? Let me tell you something about it.
I often go to the shopping mall or a big supermarket. Before you go into a supermarket, get a trolley. Trolleys are usually outside the entrance(入口) to the supermarket. If you don't buy many things, get a basket. Baskets are usually in the supermarket. Push(推) your trolley around the supermarket, take what you want to buy and put it into your trolley.
You can buy almost everything you want in the supermarket. You can buy fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, bread and cakes, household cleaners(家居清洁用具), ice-cream, books and magazines. When you have everything you want, take your trolley to the checkout (收银台) and pay for them.
This year, schools in Yichang decide(决定) to start morning classes later. This will help students feel less tired. And most schools will begin the first class at about 8 o'clock in the morning. The students are happy about the news.
Liu Ming told us that his classmates were excited by the news on the first day of the school. "Great! From now on we students don't have to get up so early!" Liu said that he got up at 6:40 a.m. before. Now he can get up at 7:20 a.m. because class doesn't start until 8:00 a.m. Wu Hong feels the same. She said the new timetable was good for her health. "I used to(过去常常) get up at 6:30 a.m. I had to drink coffee every night, or I would feel too tired to finish my homework," said Wu Hong, "Now I can finish it without coffee, because I can sleep a little longer."
Many teachers say the change will help students learn better. "Students used to doze(瞌睡)for the first two classes in the morning," said Judy, an English teacher at a Middle School. "But now they are active and learn much better than before."
But some parents are worried that more sleep will mean(意味着) less learning. There used to be five classes in the morning. Now there are only four.
In fact, every coin has two sides. So does the change in the school timetable.

? Our English teacher, Miss Wang, has taught us a good way of remembering things to make our own yearbook. What is a yearbook? A yearbook is a kind of book which is used to keep the memory of exciting time. It's usually made at the end of the year.
Last December, we began to make our yearbook. . Then some students interviewed them, some wrote down their stories, others took photos of them. Finally our teacher helped us to put the things together. We had our first yearbook.
. It is so wonderful that not only the students but also our parents and teachers will remember the special time for ever.
