Ecotourism is a new term in today's tourism industry. Ecotourism, which is considered as a kind of responsible tourism, is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (typical) defined (定义) as travel to places {#blank#}2{#/blank#} special and unusual plants, animals and cultural heritages (遗产) are the main {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (attract). It takes ecology and culture into consideration. Therefore, programs {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (concern) the protection of some natural and cultural spots also form a part of ecotourism.

    Ecotourism is developing {#blank#}5{#/blank#} great speed. According to a recent report by the World Tourism Organization, ecotourism in recent years {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(enjoy) an annual growth of about 5% worldwide. More than 80 activities have been listed for ecotourism and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} include bird watching, hiking, diving, photography and taking part in various kinds of local cultural events.

    Big cities are still the major places that attract tourists in our society today. However, it seems some {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (small) towns and country areas may well become the new destinations for people {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (visit) tomorrow because they are rich in ecological, cultural and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (history) resources.

    Once upon a time, there was a poor fisherman {#blank#}1{#/blank#} always dreamed of becoming rich. He wished to become {#blank#}2{#/blank#} millionaire, and so did his wife. He heard {#blank#}3{#/blank#} some old men before, that several ships {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (load) with diamonds and gold had sunk in the nearby seashore. Because of this, for a long time he kept searching that whole area for this treasure.

    One day, while he was sitting on the boat daydreaming, he suddenly felt that the fishing rod {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (weigh) down by a heavy object. He {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (excite) pulled hard at it, and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} he saw made him shout, "Wow! A big, shiny gold chain!" He pulled hard at the gold chain to get it into the boat, but {#blank#}8{#/blank#} seemed to be no end to it. His boat started to get overload and the sea water filled his boat. {#blank#}9{#/blank#}, he had begun dreaming of a big house, a big piece of land and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (buy) horses and cows... He kept pulling at the chain while the boat kept sinking. The boat was finally submerged and he struggled to stay afloat. Unfortunately, his feet were caught in the gold chain and he drowned.

    A program called Everlasting Classics is becoming {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (increase) popular. The program, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} combines Chinese traditional poetry with music, was launched by China Central Television (CCTV) in 2018.

    And it became a great hit soon after the program {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (show) on CCTV 1. It was hosted by Sa Beining, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} CCTV host loved by the audience, and the Appreciation Group in the group included Professor Kang Zen from Beijing Normal University, Dean of the China Conservatory of Music, Wang Liguang, the famous hostess Zeng Baoyi and the well-known singer Yu Chengqing. Together, they led the audience to interpret and appreciate many classic Chinese poems, enjoying the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (beautiful) that the poems brought to the audience. Moreover, the poems were adapted into songs, which were sung by famous singers, like Zhang Jie, Wang Yuan, etc, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (make) the program more spellbinding.

    In Season 1 of the program, one of the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (attract) songs was Butterfly Lovers (《梁祝》). An 88-year-old pianist called Wu Yili played the music with the famous violinist Lv Siqing. The melodious music moved many of the audience {#blank#}8{#/blank#} tears. In recent years, CCTV has produced many programs {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (spread) traditional Chinese culture, including Chinese Poetry Competition {#blank#}10{#/blank#} Everlasting Classics. Thanks to these programs, many people set off a craze for the study of Chinese culture.

    A cheerful panda {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (call) Bing Dwen Dwen has been chosen as the Olympic mascot for Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. The new Olympic mascot will serve as an ambassador (大使) for winter sports, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (bring) joy to those who participate in and watch the Olympic Winter Games. "Bing" means ice and symbolizes purity and strength. "Dwen Dwen" relates to children and means {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (honest), health, liveliness and loveliness. The mascot represents the strength and willpower of athletes and will help to promote the Olympic spirit.
