    Yesterday our club held an English speech contest, which theme was “Challenge Myself”. A large number of students attended to the contest and showed their wonderful performances. In the stage, though face great pressure, the speakers bravely overcame it and challenged them to achieve great success. Moreover, they impressed us deep with their unusual confidences and performances.

    Through such activity, we know a lot more about our students but we have gained much, such as self-confidence and bravery. Besides, our club was growing stronger.

    Last weekend, our class went hiking. Early in the morning, we gathered at People's Square in the city center and then head for the South Mountain, which was 8 kilometers away. Our goal was to climbing to the top, from which we could enjoy a good view.

    It was an exhausted hike and the heats consumed all our energy. Therefore, when we finally reached to our destination, the view took our breath away. It was well worth walking such long distance.     One day when I was at four, I played outside in the courtyard. I caught sight my dad's truck and thought he shouldn't have to drive such a ugly truck. Then I spot a tin of white paint.     As you know, the UN is a international organization made up of countries want to promote world peace. The UN touches the lives of people in everywhere. The organization are helping end some of the world's most horribly conflicts. The UN does not have their own army. Instead, it borrows soldiers from different countries belonged to the UN. Under the help of these armies and other worth organizations, the UN assists the victims of wars and disasters. In addition, the UN helps protect human rights and works to improve international laws, for example, those on child labour and on equal rights for minority and women.
