    Sometime in February, my teacher told us about the city speech contest, its topic was “People who have overcome difficulty in their lives.” I thought of my grandma would be my perfect topic. Then I carefully prepared for contest. A couple of weeks later, after the first round I was choosing to be one of the seven finalists! The final was held soon. I was the six to present the speech. How a relief when I finished it! After the last person finished, the judges made their final decisions and announced that I have won first prize. The audience were going wildly, clapping and cheering! I was extremely happy. It was such exciting a moment that I will always remember it.

    I was playing at my cousin house. Since his family was rich than mine, he had more toys than I did. There was one on particular I'd always wanted. I put into my pocket when he wasn't looking. I guessed, even at that age, I would never be able to enjoy to playing with the toy or faced my cousin again; I would always know I'd done something wrong. Late on, my aunt drove me home. When she dropped me off, I pulled out the toy slow and gave it back. She knows what had happened, but she thanked me and ever mentioned it again.

    Since my childhood, libraries have played a role of great important in my life. When l was a pupil, I regarded on my every trip to the school library as an adventure. I enjoyed my stay there when I could read various book l was interested in. It was for this reason why I decided to volunteer at a library. At first I had difficulty remember where each book should be shelved and I got used to doing so soon with the help of a kind librarian. Working in the library might seem bored for most people. However, it was rewarding experience for me. It has not only developed my ability to read, but also help me make a contribution to society.

    Our English teacher is a middle-aged woman. She has taught our English for two years. She works very hard and has been the model teacher for many years.

    She is kind but she is rather strict in us. She always encourages us speak and read more English. She often tells us that "practice makes perfectly." She is very good at teaching and trying hard to make every lesson lively and interesting. She often presents new language items with slide shows, teach us English songs and helps us to put on short English plays. Her lessons are so very interesting that all the students are keen to have English classes.

    She loves us and is always ready to help us. In fact, she is not only our good teacher but also our good friends. We both respect, admire and love her.
