    I took the Harvard Summer School program in my vacation. During my stay there, I spend a lot of time studying in the main library Widener. I enjoyed myself in the ocean of knowledges, either doing research for my papers or read special edition books. The library, which it is named after its donor Harry Widener, stands right next to the Emerson building of philosophy. Opening a pair of heavy yet elegant metal doors, I was immediate bathed in warm light. I wandered around the library, fascinating to find one treasure after other.

    The library is a amazing place. One can fully experience the academic atmosphere only he visits the library. For me, the library as well as the courses explain Harvard's place as the home of devoted scholars.

    There is little doubt that whether it is human activity rather than natural phenomena that have caused global warming. It is largely due to the burning of the fossile fuels ranged from gas to oil. And almost all scientists subscribe to a view above. Besides, their attitudes towards this rise are absolute different. On one hand, some think if there is not such a rise, plants would not grow quicker and crops would not produce more. On the other hand, those opposed to the view thought that it is very serious. In their opinion, any trend in that the temperature increases by 5 degrees will lead to a catastrophe. In spite of this, that doesn't mean we can do nothing . With our natural resources running out, we should do what we can protect our earth!

    My parents and I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel for a week when we visit Suzhou last month. It is in the downtown area, and it is easy go to anywhere from the hotel by public transport.

    We lived in a comfortably double-room with a big bath. What I liked best were the free high-speed Internet connection in the room. I checked my email messages every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Suzhou. The food was wonderful with reasonable prices, and we enjoyed several local dish.

    It is so a great hotel that I will recommend it to any friend of mine, that is going to Suzhou.

    Last Sunday, some of my classmates and I went to the West Lake for fun. I noticed an old dustman collecting rubbish throw about by visitors. He was apparently having great difficulty collect some small items, especially cigarette butts. An idea was occurred to me. Why not help him collect rubbish? Much to their joy, all my classmates agreed and were willing help. So we work hard together with the dustman and collected lots of rubbish. Then we parted but waved farewell to the thankful dustman. Tiredly as I was, I felt really happy. I truly believe we'll have an harmonious society if everybody takes action. How a fine deed!

    Rope skipping is a sport suitable for people of all age. People skip rope for fun and exercise.

    Every student are able to learn to skip. You can skip alone or with your classmates. If you skip alone, you will need short rope about double the length of your high. You should turn the rope slow so that you can skip safely. It might help with if you can sing a rhyme while skips.

    When you skip rope, your heart beats fast than usual and your body is stressed. Therefore, stop for a rest after you injure yourself. So, pick up a rope, finding a silly rhyme and start skipping.
