    Yesterday our club held a English speech contest “Challenging Myself”. Many students take part in it and delivered their wonderful speech. A great many of teachers and students crowded into the hall in order that see their performances.     I used to being a shy girl in my primary school. I was weak in English at that time, especially my speaking English, but I was afraid to answer the teacher's questions in class. After I entered my dream middle school, something changes. I started to read many interesting English story and my English teacher helped me a lot of. I studied hard in class and practiced by watching English films and listen to English songs in ray spare time.     When I was little, Friday's night was our family game night. After supper, we would play card games of all sort in the sitting room. As the kid, I loved to watch cartoons, but no matter how many times I asked to watching them, my parents would not to let me. They would say to us that playing card games would help my brain.     Last Monday, we hold a monitor election during our class meeting. Two students in our class took part the event. They are Liu Dong and Wang Hong, all of whom are the top students in our grade.     Hi, everyone. Greeting from Canada! We arrived there tired, but excitedly. This is our first trip to America and the friendly of the people is amazing. All the different sights and smells make us eager to try the food. We are looking forward to eat Canadian food for dinner on night. Our hotel is not only cheap and also very clean. The owners are friendly and helpful. They have told us about some places we shouldn't miss them. We planned to stay here in Montreal for few days and then travel to the north.
