It is reported {#blank#}1{#/blank#} gender (性别) differences exist mainly in terms {#blank#}2{#/blank#} sense of space and language ability. But that doesn't necessarily mean all women have a poor sense of space or all women are good at languages. Women can become excellent drivers as long as they have the courage to challenge {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (tradition) gender roles and believe in themselves.

    In London, only one in ten bus drivers is a woman. Yet, according to the results of recent research, women are better at {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (deal) with problem passengers, have fewer accidents and are quicker at learning to drive buses than men.

    At only 12, Milton Hershey stopped {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (attend) school and began to work for a candy maker in Lancaster. There, he learned to mix sugar and water to make candy products,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} he moved to Philadelphia to set up a candy store. However, his store was a complete {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (fail). So he {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to Lancaster and began making caramels (焦糖) in his own way — with fresh milk and he made it.

Then in 1893 he bought the chocolate-making machines made by Germany. He was developing a(an){#blank#}5{#/blank#} (usual) plan — to build a large chocolate factory and a town to support it. So soon he bought a town {#blank#}6{#/blank#} he set up his chocolate factory in the following year. The factory provided free accommodation and all his workers lived in it. He found a way to make large amounts of milk chocolate. The Hershey Candy Company was on its way to success.

    Today, in the town of Hersey, the streetlights {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (shape) like the candy. The air often smells {#blank#}8{#/blank#} chocolate. At Hershey's Chocolate World, visitors can learn {#blank#}9{#/blank#} chocolate is made. This special town calls {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  “The Sweetest Place on Earth.”

    Swedish businessman Nile Bergqvist is delighted with his new hotel, the world's first igloo(冰屋) hotel.

    Bergqvist built his first igloo in 1991 for an art exhibition. It was {#blank#}4{#/blank#}successful that he designed the present one, {#blank#}5{#/blank#}measures roughly 200 square meters. Six workmen spent more than eight weeks —piling 1,000 tons of snow onto a wooden base; when the snow froze, the base{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(remove).

    After their stay, all visitors receive a survival certificate recording their success. {#blank#}7{#/blank#}no windows, nowhere to hang clothes and temperatures below 0℃, it may seem more like a survival test {#blank#}8{#/blank#}a relaxing hotel break. "It's great fun," Bergqvist explains, "as{#blank#}9{#/blank#} as a good start in survival training."

    The{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(popular)of the igloo is beyond doubt: it is now attracting tourists from all over the world. At least 800 people have stayed at the igloo this season even though there are only 10 rooms.

    Maryland's Cecil County is home to many interesting parks. However, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}is more mysterious and disturbing than the Perryville Community Park {#blank#}2{#/blank#}around 100 trees are marked by strange messages left by the mentally disordered patients in a hospital decades ago.

    Before becoming a public park, the land {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (own) by the nearby hospital, and some of its former patients carved their disturbed thoughts into the trees. Over time, the words together {#blank#}4{#/blank#}the drawings carved into the tree bark have grown larger, {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(draw) the attention of curious passers-by. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(interesting), even though the mark trees of Perryville Community Park have become quite popular among {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(tour), and even gotten their own Wikipedia entry, few residents of the Maryland town know about them and their history.

    Of all the phrases carved into the trees, the {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(strange) ones are "Christ said to police there was no Second World War," and "October 18, 1960 The City of Baltimore has not believed yet — Saint Callender — police. "

    The years carved into the trees date back to 1911, but the most {#blank#}9{#/blank#}.(mention) year is 1958, along with the name "Nelson Jonchou", which many believe belonged to one of the soldiers who {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(be) once admitted to the hospital.
