     The Bermuda Triangle(百慕大三角)is in the Atlantic Ocean, near Florida in the USA. During the past 60 years, more than 1,000 seamen in ships and pilots in planes have lost their lives. It is known as "The Triangle of Death”for its strange seawater and sudden storms. What's the strangest is the light of the seawater, which looks so bright that it can be seen even from an outer spaceship.
　　At 2:00 p.m. on December. 5, 1945, five planes took off in fine weather from the airport of Florida, on a training task. Two hours later, the leader in the sky radioed that he was "completely lost". Then there was silence. Another plane was sent to look for them and also disappeared.
　　One of the largest ship that had disappeared in the triangle was an American coal ship, 500 meters long. The weather was good, and there were no messages for help before it was "gone". No broken ships or dead bodies have been found so far.
　　No one is able to tell how all these accidents have happened. A group of Japanese scientists were there to see what it was really like in 1995, but nothing has been heard of them ever since.


   Imagine one day the water taps (水龙头) in your house stop running. You have to pay a lot of money to buy water from shops. And still there isn't enough water for everyone. Your mother has to save the family's shower water to use for washing clothes. Would you be able to stand that kind of life?
   Probably not. But that is what kids in Yemen (也门) are experiencing (经历). According to a report, the capital, Sana, will run out of drinking water as early as 2025.
   Because of the water shortage (短缺), the Yemen government often cuts the water supply (供应). Hannan, an 18-year-girl, tells the Teens, “In a good week we'll have a water supply all week. But then the next week there will be water only for a day or two.”
   Hannan says only rich people have enough water to use. They can buy water from the shops or from the water trucks. Private (私人的) companies own the trucks, They travel around the city every day to sell water-- at very high prices.
   “A lot of people can't pay for it,” she says.
   The government is thinking of making use of seawater. But it will cost a lot and it may not happen soon enough to help the people of Yemen.

      The world has many beautiful sounds. We can hear the songs of birds and the laugh of people. We can listen to cool music and news reports. And it's all because of our ears! They bring us a world of sounds.
      But some people can't hear any sound at all. Some are born deaf. Others can hear well in their childhood, nut too many loud sounds hurt their ears later on.
       Many people in China can't hear ordinary sounds clearly. Lots of them are children. Most of them are born with good hearing. But six children of every 1,000 have hearing problems when they are born. And if a children has hearing problems, he or she usually will also have some learning problems at school.
        A lot of things can cause fearing problems, like, too much earwax is not good for our hearing. And noise louder than 85 decibels (分贝) can hurt our ears and make us lose our hearing for a short time or even for ever.
Hearing is important for all of us. So we should do our best to give our ears special care. Don't forget to do the following:
◎ Try to stay away from places with too much noise. If you have to go, wear earplugs.
◎ When swimming, remember to put earplugs into your ears to stop water from getting in.
◎ Never put anything sharp into your ears. If you think you have too much earwax, ask your parents to help you clean it out.
     Keep these things in mind. Then you won't be saying “WHAT? WHAT?” when you are older.

    Electricity is a form of energy and this is what powers the TV, hairdryer, phone, fridge, electric toothbrush and more! Our growing need for energy is one of the problems facing the world today, because producing electricity also produces pollution.

    Here are some simple ways to make a big difference when using electricity.

On or off? Leaving televisions and computers on with the little red light showing still uses electricity, even though they might look like they're turned off. To stop this you can turn them off.

    Lights out! Turning lights off when you're not in the room can save a lot of energy.

    Fridge door closed. The fridge is an important part of the kitchen, because it keeps food fresh, cool and healthy! But it takes a lot of energy to keep cool, so try not to leave the fridge door open or put hot things inside.

    Use the sun's energy. An increasing number of people are fitting solar panels（太阳能电池板） to their houses. They create electricity from sun-light, which can then be used to power our homes. Solar heating panels make hot water, reducing the need for electricity or gas.
