    Polar bears are suffering in a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (warm) world.

    Polar bears live in environments too cold for most animals. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} much of the year, they live and hunt on the frozen Arctic sea ice. Nature has prepared {#blank#}3{#/blank#} for the cold conditions. But nothing has prepared the bears for the danger that {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (threat)the only home they know.

    The polar bears' world is melting. Studies show that the polar ice has reduced by 9.8% every 10 years {#blank#}5{#/blank#} 1978. Now about 20,000 to 25,000 polar bears live in the Arctic. Polar bears depend on the sea ice for their {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (survive). “The sea ice is more than just this platform that the bears walk over,” says Andrew Derocher, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} scientist who studies North American polar bear populations. “{#blank#}8{#/blank#} it, they can't exist.”

    Some melting and refreezing of the polar ice is natural. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} in a warmer world, these cycles speed up, and bears have less time to hunt. Normally, they have three months in the spring when they gain more weight. The extra fat is used later, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} the bears are not actively hunting.

    There is no doubt that friendship is one of the most valuable things in our life. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} is very difficult to find a better definition(定义) of friendship. A true friend is the person {#blank#}2{#/blank#}can share all our sadness and double all our happiness. In time of trial(尝试) , he or she is always at our side to give us help and comfort.

    Our cat was ready to give birth to her kittens. My son was curious and excited to see the birth of these new babies. The event took place yesterday. The cat {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(give) birth to one kitten by the time he arrived home from school. He was so amazed at {#blank#}2{#/blank#} he saw. When the second was on its way, the mother cat began to yell very loudly. I saw tears in my son's eyes because he learned about the pain of giving birth.

There she came across {#blank#}5{#/blank#}elephant, from whom she knew they used to be hunted {#blank#}6{#/blank#}mercy. But now good things are being done to save local wildlife. Knowing that, Daisy burst into {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(laugh) in relief. At the end of the journey, she met a monkey {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(rub) itself to protect himself from mosquitoes. The monkey asked her to pay {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(much) attention to the rainforest. Finally, Daisy {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(full) understood the meaning of no rainforest, no animals, no drugs.
