If there is anything {#blank#}2{#/blank#} needs repairing or decorating around their homes, such as painting walls and putting in a new shower, they will do the jobs {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(they). They share DIY experience{#blank#}4{#/blank#}their friends. DIY can save money. So, it is not surprising that DIY is very popular.

    DIY can be difficult. People often find it not easy{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(build) a piece of furniture because they can't understand the directions（说明书){#blank#}6{#/blank#} (good) . What's more, DIY can also be {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(danger). For example, anything electrical should be done by a professional (专业的) worker.{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (unlucky), many people don't care about this warning and put themselves in danger. It is reported that thousands of people{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(hurt) while doing DIY in the UK last year. All in all, DIY can bring us fun and help us save money,{#blank#}10{#/blank#}it is not always as easy as it is thought to be.

    I was wandering into the small store, when the store owner received a call from a customer. The customer and his wife had shopped there several months before. When noticing that his wife really liked one thing in the store, he wanted to buy it as a surprise. Because time was limited, out{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (go) the couple without buying it. It was not until several months later that the customer wanted to buy it.

    But the customer was in Tennessee, living far away from the store which was in Maine. What was more, he had been to the store several months before, and it was difficult to believe that the store owner would remember him, or  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} it was that he was referring to. There were{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (diversity) goods in the store. The customer's question was whether she could do it. She said yes. The store owner advised him to describe the thing for her and so he did.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (inform) what the thing was like, the store owner took a few close-up photos with her camera« and e-mailed them to the customer. Having received the photos' then the customer decided which one was the very thing.

Then the customer said, “Now it is time we discussed a price over the phone.” Apart{#blank#}5{#/blank#}discussing the price, they also decided the time to send it. Then she took care of the credit card transaction (交易)online, and the customer proposed the gift{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(send) that afternoon. Then the agreement was reached. The customer said. “I live far away from your place now.{#blank#}7{#/blank#} I would get it myself.”

    The store owner was really smart. She wasn't necessarily{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (talent) for new technology but she was willing to push herself to find new ways to make the transaction (交易) actually happen. It was not a dramatic thing. It was the first time she had ever done it. Never before had she done such a thing.

    {#blank#}9{#/blank#} difficult it was, the store owner discovered a creative solution {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (contribute) to a new way of doing business. In my view, we should realize that challenge and opportunity go hand in hand.

    Poetry is never far away from our daily lives. Many of us grew up reciting classic poems, learning to enjoy this beautiful art form that's able to use just a few lines {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(express) such rich meanings.

    The Chinese Shijing, which dates back to the Western Zhou Dynasty, has a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(long) history than the Homeric Epics(荷马史诗). Even today, classic poems {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(love) by a lot of people.

    To recognize the special {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(able) of poetry and get its creative spirit, World Poetry Day is held by the United Nations on March 21 each year to support linguistic diversity through poetic expression.

    The Chinese Poetry Congress(中国诗词大会) showing classic poetry is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(extreme)popular. The competition saw over 100 hopeful participants taking part in {#blank#}6{#/blank#}number of challenges. The participants, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}ages range from 7 to 70, include students, farmers, teachers and foreign competitors with an interest {#blank#}8{#/blank#}Chinese literature.

    And even TV series involving poetry are very {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(success). For example, in The Legend of Zhenhuan, one of the drama's most moving songs was adapted from a poem {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (write)by Wen Tingyun of the Tang Dynasty.

Color blindness is very common. It affects{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (rough) 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women in the world. People {#blank#}2{#/blank#} blindness can't see colors in a normal way.

There are {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(variety) causes of color blindness. For the majority of color-blind people, color blindness is genetic, although some people become color-blind as a result of other diseases, such as diabetes(糖尿病), or they have {#blank#}4{#/blank#} condition over time due to the aging process, etc.

Most color-blind people can see {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (thing) as clearly as other people, but they are unable to fully "'see" red, green or blue light. There are different types of color blindness but there are extremely rare cases {#blank#}6{#/blank#} people are unable to see any color at all. The most common color blindness is red/ green color blindness. Although {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(know) as red/green color blindness, it doesn't mean {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(suffer) will only mix up red and green. It means they mix up all colors that have some red or green as part of the whole color.

The effects of color blindness can {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (classify) into mild，moderate(中等的) or severe. About 40% of color-blind people are even unaware that they're color-blind. Statistically speaking, most people {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (have) a moderate form of red/ green color blindness can only identify 5 colored pencils from a standard box of 24 pencil crayons.
