Confucianism(儒家思想) has been followed by Chinese people for more than two thousand years. 

To help people understand how to behave towards others, Confucianism teaches the Five Constants : ren,yi,li,zhiand xin. They are general virtues (美德) around the world. The most important two are ren and li.

 Ren is the feeling of care and love we should have for others. Confucius explained ren could be best understood as loving others. He is famous for teaching people" Do not do to others what you do not want others to do to you". It is quite similar to what is known in the West as the Golden Rule( treat others as you wish to be treated). 

 While the meaning of ren is easy to understand, li is a little harder to express. It can be considered as a kind of duty. Generally, liis the way we should connect with people in our everyday life. In Confucian writings, discussions about liinclude the proper way to drink tea and how to remember ancestors(祖先). While renis mostly about our opinions and feelings, liis about how we express our opinions and feelings towards others and towards the world around us. 

 Besides the Five Constants, xiao is perhaps the most well- known Confucian virtue. This is the duty children should have to their parents. Xiao means loving, respecting, obeying and taking care of one's parents in their old age. In Confucianism, xiao is important for a harmonious society. Without it, the whole world would fall into a mess. 

 The Dragon Boat Festival has a history of more than two thousand years. It is also{#blank#}1{#/blank#} Duanwu Festival. There are many {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (activity) on the day.

Dragon boat race

 The dragon boat race is {#blank#}3{#/blank#} important competition during the festival. People{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(hold) dragon boat races in the river to remember the poet, Qu Yuan. Now, the dragon boat race is a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (tradition) activity for Chinese people.

Wearing sweet- smelling bags

 During the Dragon Boat Festival, children usually wear sweet- smelling bags {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(avoid) bad things. Sweet- smelling bags are a kind of hand- made bags. In some areas of China, a sweet- smelling bag is also used {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a symbol of love between lovers.

Eating zongzi

 Eating zongzi {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (be) also a custom for Chinese people. Zongzi is a{#blank#}9{#/blank#} of food with different designs and styles. For thousands of years, the custom of eating zongzi has been popular in China and has spread to Korea, Japan and countries in Southeast Asia. People usually have a great {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.

After a long and cold winter, spring is here! Trees turn green.  Flowers blossom (开花).  ____ People go outside and enjoy the good weather.  Are you still staying inside, playing with your phone or computer? It's time to go out and look for some funny things to do in springtime. 

Spring is a great time to see nature and get some exercise.  Hiking will help you do both.  You can take a long walk in the countryside or climb up a hill.  You may be tired, but it is good for your heart. 

What is the best spring activity to free your eyes and neck from phones or computers? Flying kites! On a sunny day with wind, it's exciting to see hundreds of kites flying in the sky.  If you want to see lots of colourful kites, you can go to Weifang in Shandong.  The city holds a famous kite festival on the third Saturday in April every year. 

The Double Ninth Festival is one of the most important {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（festival）in China. It is {#blank#}2{#/blank#}special day for elderly people. It {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（begin）long ago. The festival is {#blank#}4{#/blank#}the ninth day of the ninth month in the lunar calendar（阴历）. As the Chinese word for"nine"has the same sound as the word for"long", people take the Double Ninth Festival to send {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（they）best wishes to elderly people. They do many activities {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（show）love and respect to the elderly. Generally, people celebrate the day by {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（spend）time with their older family members and climbing mountains in the hope that the elderly will live much longer. Also, they {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（usual）drink chrysanthemum wine（菊花酒）and wear a plant called zhuyu as the symbol of warding off evil and wishing for longevity. It is a {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（tradition）virtue（美德）in China to respect elderly people. That's {#blank#}10{#/blank#}the Chinese know that elderly people have knowledge and experience that young people can learn from. 

Friends

Friends are like sunshine. They make us happy and never let us feel lonely. When we face difficulties, they are always there. Friends are like family. They support us no matter what happens. They trust us, understand us, and help us grow into better people. With friends like these, life becomes more colorful and meaningful. Let's cherish our friendships and be there for each other always.

I'm taking my family to some other countries for a trip. My wife and I, and our two children are all  1 My elder brother will 2 with us, too. He never went to other countries 3 He is even more 4 than the children. My father is old now, so he wants to stay at home to 5 the house. 

We're on the train to New York now, and then we will 6 a ship to Europe. The UK will be the first place for us to visit. After visiting it, we will go to some other countries to do some sightseeing. When we 7 France, we'll go to different places either by train or by bus. Then we're going to fly home. 

It took 8 a long time to plan where to go, but I think we'll have a very interesting trip. 

We also talked about 9 we would go to Europe. At first we wanted to fly there because it would be faster and save a lot of time 10 us, but my brother liked boat trips, and the children liked boat trips, too.
