Being away from my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}, I miss everyone in my{#blank#}2{#/blank#}so much and I want to see all the familiar things in the big{#blank#}3{#/blank#}, especially those books in my own {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

I'm Tom. Look! This is my schoolbag. And this is a pencil box. Is it purple? No, it's orange. It's my pencil box. What's in the pencil box? A ruler is in the pencil box. It is my ruler. The ruler is blue and red.

That is a pencil. It is black and white. It is not my pencil. Look! That girl is Lucy. It is her pencil. That boy is Tim. I find his green pen in my pencil box. His telephone number is 789-6677.

A kind of little cars may take the place of today's big ones many years later. If everyone drives such cars in the future, there will be less pollution in the air. There will also be more space for parking in cities, and the streets will be less crowded.

The little cars of the future will cost less. Driving will be safer, too, since these little cars can go only 65 kilometers an hour. The cars of the future will be fine for going around a city, but they will not be useful for a long way. Little cars will go 450 kilometers before they need to stop for more gasoline (汽油). If big cars are still used with the small ones, two kinds of roads will be needed in the future. Some roads will be needed for the big, faster cars and other roads will be needed for the small, slower ones.

Monday! Oh, I don't like Monday because I'll have to go back to school again after the weekend. On weekdays, I have to get up at 6:30 in the morning and go to bed at 9o' clock in the evening

Tuesday is not so bad. I usually play tennis with my friends after school.

On Wednesday evening I don't go on. I stay with at home and do my homework.

I like Thursday because I have a P. E. class on Thursday.

I always go out on Friday night. I often go to my friends' house. Sometimes I go to the cinema.

I love the weekend. On Saturday I stay in bed until lunch time, and I sometimes go to the shops in the afternoon. In the evening I go for a walk with my parents in a park after dinner.

Then on Sunday I go to my friends' house or they come to mine. I usually visit my grandmother for an hour in the afternoon. Then the weekend is over and it's Monday. And I feel bad again!

The Importance of Plants

Hello, everyone! It's no secret that plants{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(be) very important for humans, animals and the environment we live in. Now, let me introduce the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(important) of plants to you as follows. 

 First of all, for people, plants can give {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(we) basic needs. We can use plants in many {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(way). We can get a lot of food from plants. Some plants can change {#blank#}5{#/blank#} medicine and clothes. What's more, they are also important for {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(animal). Many animals live in the forest and they eat fruit from plants. {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(final), trees and other plants help clean the air. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} we can breathe the fresh air every day. They can also cover the soil to stop the wind and water from {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(carry) the soil away. 

In {#blank#}10{#/blank#} word, plants are so important to us. We should protect them and try our best to plant more plants. 

 It just hadn't been a very good week. On Tuesday, Sam's father lost his job. Then on Wednesday, Sam mother got to know the cost of their apartment(公寓) was going up. Now it was Friday, and Sam receive( an invitation from Rosa to her birthday party.

 Sam knew Rosa from Adventure Club. He knew he would enjoy Rosa's party, but he didn't want to g without a gift. What could he possibly buy her with the little bit of money he had? Sam knew he couldn ask Mom or Dad for any money— not this week!

 Later that afternoon, Sam noticed a second-hand book sale going on. He went there and had a quic look. Two books caught his eye, The first was a cookbook of Puerto Rican foods, and the second was book about women explorers(探险者)"Rosa would like these," Sam thought, "but would it be ashamed to give her second-hand books for her birthday?"

 Sam decided that a second-hand gift was better than no gift at all. Besides, Rosa supported recycling in a big way. So, she would probably like it. With his last dollar, Sam bought the books and went home. He felt a little better.

 The party was on Saturday. Rosa opened all her gifts and thanked everyone for the nice things they had given her. She paused when she opened Sam's gift, which made him wonder if she liked the books, but nothing was said.

 When Sam got home, he opened his e-mail and found this note from Rosa.

Dear Sam,

Of all the gifts I received today, yours was the nicest. How did you know I would love a book about women explorers and a cookbook of Puerto Rican foods? Now I have something to read that will inspire me to follow my dream of becoming an adventurer, and I have a book that I can share with my grandmother. She is getting older and wants to be sure her granddaughter knows how to make the - wonderful foods of Puerto Rico. Thank you so much.
