The first forest library in Shanghai opened to the public on February 20th, 2023．Readers can relax and read books in the forest library. The forest library was built by Pudong New Area and Shanghai Library. It is known as Read & Joy Forest. The forest library is near Shanghai Library East. It covers an area of 20,546 square meters.

Readers can relax themselves in the quiet and comfortable environment（环境）. There are many different kinds of trees in the library. The green spaces are connected（连接）by wooden walkways（木制人行道）,

The library is in the open air. There are many things such as chairs and information desks, Most of the visitors to the forest library are young people and parents with their children.

Having a library in the forest is such a wonderful idea. People enjoy themselves reading in the forest. "It is not only a place for lending books, or a reading room, but also an open space for enjoying fresh air and the smell of trees. It offers readers a different reading experience（经历）. I love the fresh air and trees here," said Wang Tao, a reader of the library, "The library makes it possible to enjoy reading in the natural environment. I feel very relaxed here. I will come back for sure."

When I was finishing my tour in Iraq, my parents provided a vacation as a Christmas gift. "London,"I said. They seemed a bit surprised: I grew up there. Why didn't I choose a foreign place? I told them I wanted to go somewhere cold and wet after seven weeks in the desert. At that time this made sense(讲得通), but 10 years later, I've realised I wanted to return for a different reason: South Bank.

 When I was 9, we packed up our home in Los Angeles and arrived at Heathrow, London, on a gray January morning. Everyone in the family was comfortable living in this city except me. Without my beloved beaches and endless blue-sky days, I felt lost and out of place, until I found something.

South Bank is the centre of British skateboarding. I loved it. I soon made friends with the local skaters. We spoke our own language, and my favourite: Safe. Safe meant "cool". It meant"hello". It meant"don't worry about it". Once, when trying a certain skill, I fell onto the stones, and Toby came over, helping me up, "Safe, man. Safe." A few minutes later, when I landed the skill, my friends beat their boards loud, shouting,"Safe! Safe! Safe!"And that's the important thing —landing skills, being a good skater.

When I was 15, my family moved to Washington. I tried skateboarding there, but the locals were far less welcoming. Within a couple of years, I'd given it up.

When I returned to London years later, I found myself walking slowly down to South Bank for hours. I've traveled back several times since, most recently this past spring. The day was cold but clear: tourists and Londoners stopped to watch the skaters. Then a teenager, in a baggy white T-shirt, sat next to me. He seemed not to notice me. But soon I caught a few of his glances. "I was a local here 20 years ago," I told him. Then, slowly, he began to nod his head, "Safe, man. Safe."

"Yeah,"I said. "Safe."

Alyssa explained why she dreamed 5 being an astronaut in a recent interview. She said, "Well, I first wanted 6 an astronaut from watching a cartoon called The Backyardigans when I was three. In the cartoon, the characters flew to Mars. " After that, the girl just kept asking for videos, books and anything she could find about space. And her parents have always given her love and support.

Alyssa has always been working very 7 for her dream. She went to an expensive space school to get training. Studying there isn't always easy. It needs to pass a lot of tests like floating (漂浮) in the air. At first she felt sick in her stomach, 8 later she got used to it. Finally, she made it to be an astronaut. 9 wonderful she was! From what she said, we also knew 10 Alyssa enjoyed speaking in public and talking to the girls who wanted to be astronauts.
