Families are getting smaller in Europe and North America, but homes are not. In many {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(国家)，they are getting bigger. Bigger homes are more expensive and heating {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (它们) in cold weather is worse for the environment.

It is {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (相信) that we can think about the size of our homes. Sixteen-year-old Austin Hay is building a home on his parents' drive. Although it's only 2.4 meters {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (宽的) and 3.7 meters long, it has got everything important, including a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (浴室)，a kitchen and a bedroom with a low ceiling.

"When I was a kid, I wanted to build a tree house or a boathouse," Austin explains." But this house on wheels is the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} [ˈkuːlɪst] of all."

Austin doesn't do any building during the week because he's busy with schoolwork and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} [ˈpleɪɪŋ] basketball. But on the weekend he usually works hard on his house. "At the moment I'm working on the doors, I can do it e{#blank#}8{#/blank#}, so my dad isn't helping me. He thinks I can solve it. He only h{#blank#}9{#/blank#} with the difficult things."

Austin is sleeping in his little house this summer. And in the future? "University is very expensive in the USA, but for me, it'll be cheaper. I have m{#blank#}10{#/blank#} little house, I will take it with me wherever I go."

If you're going to a formal （正式的） Western dinner party for the first time, you'd better {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (know) about Western table manners. It's polite to follow them. When you sit down at the table, take your napkin and put it {#blank#}2{#/blank#} your lap （大腿）. The dinner always {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (start) with a small dish. 

When you start eating you should keep the fork in {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (you) left hand. It's polite to finish {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (eat) everything on your plate. Don't take {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (much) food than you need. Maybe you don't know whether it's polite or not to speak loudly at the table. The answer is that you should speak {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (quiet) and smile a lot. When you drink to (anybody)， you'd better raise your glass and take only a sip （抿一口）. Remember not {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (drink) too much. If you can't remember these {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (rule), just do as other people do. 

According to a research, more than 130 billion pounds of uneaten food go to waste in Laura's country each year. That is about 30% of the yearly food supply(供应). It is a sad fact, especially when you consider how many families and homeless people are in hunger.

When Laura saw her school dining hall throw away food that was not eaten at all every day, she came up with an idea. She started a project to help her school dining hall to give away uneaten food to homeless shelters(庇护所) in her community. In the past three years, the same project has spread to other schools and some fast food restaurants throughout the city. The project is called Feed & Find, and has already fed thousands of people in her city.

How does it work? Through an app, Feed & Find matches local homeless shelters with school dining halls and restaurants that have uneaten food to provide. When dining halls or restaurants have uneaten food left, they can use the app to share the information about the food. A truck driver working for the project is then sent to pick it up and take it to a shelter.

Pretty cool, right? It's not surprising that people in other cities have got in touch with Laura, hoping that she could help develop similar projects for their communities.

Some people, however, have concerns about the safety of the uneaten food. They think such food may not be clean enough. Still, this

project is a clever way to help solve the problem of food waste and it helps those in need.

The area is famous for its scenery , such as sunsets , rocks, pines , hot springs and views of the clouds from above. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also a famous place for high quality(高质量的) Chinese tea. 

Mount Gongga

Location:Sichuan Province Elevation:7, 556 metres

It is the highest mountain in Sichuan Province. It is also known to the local people as "King of the Sichuan Mountains". 

Changbai Mountain 

Location:Jilin Province Elevation:2, 749 metres

It is the highest mountain in Northeast China. There is a large crater(火山口)lake, called Heaven Lake on the mountain top.
