You might not pay much attention to whether the things you say on WeChat and other online messaging apps are recorded. But a regulation (规定) that went into effect on May 1 will make everything you say online usable against you in a court of law (法庭).

    According to the Supreme People's Court's regulation, text messages, emails, and content posted on websites or instant (即时的) messaging platforms can be used as evidence (证据) in civil lawsuits (民事诉讼).

    The idea of digital evidence was first introduced as part of China's Civil Procedure Law in 2012. However, the recent regulation has made it clearer.

    "This is the first time the Supreme People's Court has clarified (阐明) the scope of digital evidence, especially on social media platforms and instant messaging services," Li Ya, a lawyer in Beijing, told China Daily.

   The regulation was introduced to keep up with changes in social development. Social media activity has become a part of most people's lives. Therefore, digital evidence is playing an increasingly important role in civil and criminal lawsuits.

    According to the regulation, if people plan to use digital evidence in a lawsuit, they have to first prove that they use the app or website that the evidence comes from. Second, they must provide an original (原始的) and complete record of the evidence. For example, if you lend somebody money through WeChat, you must keep the original transfer (转账) records and conversations on the app.

    However, there are still questions about the regulation. Some point out that the regulation will not necessarily help in every case. "How to make sure a microblog was actually posted by the micro blogger is a challenge," Li said.

Young people can have problems with their minds. Some students become worried because they have to study very hard. Others have trouble {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(get) on well with people like their parents and classmates.

Liu Wei, a junior student, didn't understand his teacher and was doing  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(bad) in his lessons. He became so nervous {#blank#}3{#/blank#} he started to give up studying.

Another student, Xiao Hua, wasn't good with his roommate, Xiao Ming. He quarreled(吵架) and even {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(fight) with Xiao Ming in their dormitory.

A recent report {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(say) about 18% of teenagers have mental(精神上的) problems. Their trouble includes being nervous and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(happy), and having problems in learning and getting on with others. Many students who have problems won't ask for {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(advise) or help. Some think they will look stupid (傻的) {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they go to see a doctor. Others don't want  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(talk) about their secrets. At last, they don't ask for help or go to hospital {#blank#}10{#/blank#}their problems get worse.

Harry is one of my best friends. He works really hard and is good at all his 1 . Everybody in our class likes him.

However, things were different after Allen came to our class. Allen was less hard-working than Harry. He always got 2 grades than Harry did. But he had the 3 hobby as Harry. 4 of them liked tennis. So they often played together and 5 their feelings with each other.

Andrew has a mental illness. He doesn't speak. He had used a picture chart to communicate. The pictures stand for words—people, places, food and activities.

Years ago, Andrew's parents discovered that he could communicate more by a letter board. He could point to and spell out words and thoughts. Using the letter board needs time and effort for Andrew. He hated to use the letter board, so his parents always offered it to him.

On Andrew's 15th birthday, his mother took him to a shoe store. After buying the shoes, she said. "It's Andrew's birthday today. Fifteen! Now we're off to celebrate."

The salesmen said happy birthday to Andrew. Instead of having Andrew point to the "thank you" on his picture chart, his mother held up his letter board and asked Andrew how he'd like to respond. Andrew pointed to each letter one by one on the board— "Thank you." Andrew's mother smiled.

One of the salesmen asked what it was. "This is a letter board that Andrew uses to communicate," his mother replied. "We've practiced it for years. It's amazing. It's changed everything for us." Then the salesman told them he had a brother called Jason. "Jason is 30 and doesn't speak," he said.

"Andrew, what do you think?" his mother turned to Andrew. Andrew started pointing to letters, "Tell Jason..." She was excited. Andrew continued, "Tell Jason he will change everyone's opinion of him in 26 letters." Andrew's mother and the salesmen were all moved and happy.

Months later, Andrew's mother returned to the shoe store and learned that Jason is now using a letter board to "speak". This is how Andrew affected another person's life in a split second (瞬间).

Cheetahs, the world's fastest animals, died out in India over 70 years ago. Now a new project is trying to bring cheetahs back to India. Eight of the animals were set free in Kuno National Park in September2022.

By 1952, cheetahs died out in this country. One of the main reasons was that people took away much of their natural land. Some people also killed Cheetahs for their skins.

Since 1952, there have been efforts(努 力) to return cheetahs to India. Recently, that finally happened. In an event held on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 72nd birthday, eight cheetahs were set free. The cheetahs were a gift from Namibia's government.

These cheetahs aren't Asian cheetahs, but African cheetahs. There may be as few as 12 Asian cheetahs still living in the wild, and they live in Iran. But even African cheetah numbers have been going down quickly. Now there are only about 8,000 left. Some scientists believe that getting cheetahs going in India again will help make sure that cheetahs don't die out completely.

" Project Cheetah" will cost India about $11 million during the next five years. The goal(目标) is to increase the number of cheetahs to 40. A second group of 12 cheetahs was prepared by South Africa, and has arrived recently.
