Micah is my 12-year-olddaugher. We used to do many things together. But these days, "I'm good" is about all she says to me, which means "Leave me alone". 

I wondered why she didn't want to do things with me. When I set table for dinner one evening, I heard Micah shout, "Mom, come quickly" I rushed out and found a little baby bird on the ground. My eyes went up to the branches (树枝）. For the last few weeks we had watched the bird make a nest and lay eggs there. "The wind must have blown him out of the nest." I said. "No, it was Mr. Whiskers, our cat. You let him go outside !" Micah said.

I realized she was right. So I said sorry and put the bird back. As soon as we went inside, she began to search for what to feed it on the computer carefully. And I found she focused on the screen more than ever before. She didn't even have dinner with me. "It needs a name," Micah said. "How about Chance ? I think he has a good chance of living with your help."I said. "I like it," said Micah.

Early the next morning, I got up to mix the bird food that Micah found on the Internet. But Chance didn't need it, because his mother was back ! Weeks later, we went to check on Chance. The nest was empty. Chance was standing proudly on a branch.He has grown up ！ Then I realized Micah wasn't a little girl any longer. She is her own person.

O.J.Mayo is a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the NBA. He was born {#blank#}2{#/blank#} November 5, 1897. He started playing basketball when he was 8 years old. Mayo {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a basketball star in his school. His teachers thought he was an all-round (全面的) player when he was in Grade One. In his first year on the high school basketball {#blank#}4{#/blank#} , he could play better than many older and bigger players.

 Grandma 2 in the chair by the window when she opened one little eye and said,

" Now you heard 3 your mother said, George."" Yes, Grandma," George said.

George was bored to tears. He didn't have a brother or a sister. His father was a farmer, and the farm they lived on was miles away from anywhere,4 there were never any children to play with. He was tired of staring (注视) at hundreds of pigs, hens, cows and sheep. He was especially tired of having to live in the house with his grandma. Looking after her all by himself was hardly 5 way to spend a Saturday morning.

" Go and make me a cup of tea for a start,6 sugar and milk." Grandma said. Most grandmothers are lovely, kind, helpful old ladies, but not this one. George's grandma was a woman who was always complaining(抱怨) about something or other. She spent all day 7 on her chair by the window.

 George was told that Grandma used to be a gentle lady, but as she grew older, she was not able to look after 8 and even worse, she was easy to get angry.

" We9 be nice to the old, George," His mother always told him.

Thinking of this, George went into the kitchen and made Grandma a cup of tea with a teabag. He put one spoon of sugar and some milk in it. He stirred(搅拌) the tea well and carried it into the living room10 .

C. It's a good idea to ask some of your friends to help you clean the house. Don't always ask your parents to do that for you. After all, that is your own work.

D. Why not buy some snacks and drinks? You can also ask your mother to cook for you if she cooks very well. I believe your friends will love them and enjoy themselves.

E. You can invite all of your friends to come to your party. The more friends you invite, the more interesting your party will be.

F. There are many ways to do it. You can leave messages, call them or write to them. Don't forget to tell them when and where you will have the party.

I saw an accident on my way to the college. I {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(wait) for the bus at the bus stop at that moment. When the bus came, I got {#blank#}2{#/blank#} it and sat by the window. After about five {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(minute), the bus stopped to wait for the green light. I looked outside and saw an old man {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(cross) the road. A boy {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(ride) a motorbike very fast and listening to music. It seemed that he didn't see the signal (信号灯). When the boy noticed the old man, he tried to slow down,{#blank#}6{#/blank#} there was no time. He collided (相撞) with the old man very badly and both of them fell down. They looked even {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (bad) than before when people around found them lying in the pool of blood (血泊). Then a woman stopped and called 120. It came {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(quick) and took them to the hospital. The next day I read the newspaper. The old man died {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the boy was saved in time. I have to say that this was {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(terrible) accident I have ever seen in my life. So we must be careful in our lives.
