A few good friends are talking about their last vacations.
Helen | I went to Xi'an with my cousin. We visited the Terracotta Army (兵马俑) and had a great time. We ate delicious food, too. Xi'an is a big and nice city. I like it a lot. |
Jason | My parents took me to Hong Kong by plane. We went to Disneyland. It's just like a fairy tale kingdom (童话王国). And we bought something special there. Most of the things weren't expensive. |
Diana | Last summer, my family went to Hainan. The weather was sunny and hot. We went swimming and boating. They were exciting. Later, we ate some seafood. It was really delicious! |
Phryge: The Mascot for 2024 Paris Olympics The mascot( 吉 祥 物 ) for the 2024 Paris Olympics is a lively character named "Phryge" . The playful appearance of the mascot is sure to attract people from around the world during the Paris Olympics in July and August this year. Olympic Medal Meets Eiffel Tower The design of the 2024 Paris Olympics medal is inspired by the famous French landmark( 地 标 ) "the Eiffel Tower" . Each medal is made of the iron pieces from the tower. The pieces in its center are in the shape of a hexagon(六边形). On the back side of the medal is a small picture of the Eiffel Tower and the ancient Greek goddess of victory named Nike. Athletes must be very proud and happy when holding these medals. Breaking Is Coming to the Olympics Breaking(霹雳舞) is a lively street dance born in New York during the 1970s. It will be a new official sport of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
