I love Shanghai. I think I fell in love with the city even bI came here. To the Western mind, Shanghai was considered both strange and beautiful, it was known as" the city of adventures" and "the Pearl of the East" . And when I arrived, I wasn't disappointed. I could feel the energy of his people as I w the city streets and as I strolled(漫步） along the Bund admiring the bright lights of Pudong, the city really did shine like a beautiful pearl.
That was many years ago, but my love for Shanghai has grown not less but more, the city has n stopped improving, and it is now ranked(按名次排列）among the ten best cities in the world. And the Shanghai government hopes to make it best city in the world by 2035. But w makes a city the "best"?
First of all, it has to have a good economy, it also has to be a healthy place with a good e. And the third, it has to be a place where people can relax and have fun. Most of all, a great city has to have great people.
Shanghai has always been known for its openness and friendliness, I have felt this warmth from
the first day I arrived, I was so easy to meet people and communicate with them, even though I couldn't speak Chinese.
Shanghai is great and will continue to be great, but some of that greatness depends on you, you will have to carry on the city's tof openness and friendliness, and your love and energy will be needed to keep Shanghai shining like a pearl.
