How are American families different from Chinese families?

     In some ways American families are very different from Chinese ones, and in other ways, they are 1. American families, for example, enjoy family dinners, support and love each other Just as Chinese families   2. The differences come from culture, however. Many Chinese students are3to learn that American teenagers are allowed to make many decisions on their own, and that parents want their children to 4home at eighteen.

      In most American families, children are encouraged to make their own choices 5 a young age. They start with small choices and gradually 6  ones until they graduate from high school. That is when they  face the biggest decision of their lives:  7to do next. Parents and family will help with the choice, but the children themselve make the final decision.

     Americans 8 move back into family homes when they get older. Instead, they prefer to have their own9 for as long as possible. It is important to remember that these are cultural differences, and that Americans see this as10of the culture.

Different weather makes people feel different. It influences health, intelligence and feelings.

In August, it is very hot and wet in the northern part of the United States. People there have heart trouble and other kinds of health problems during this month. In the Northeast and the Middle West, it is very hot at some times and very cold at other times. People in these states have more heart trouble after the weather changes in February or March.

The weather can also influence intelligence. For example, in a scientific report, IQ of a group of students was very high when a very strong wind came, but after the wind, their IQ was 10% below. The wind can help people have more intelligence. Very hot weather, on the other hand, can make it lower. Students in many schools of the United States often get worse on exams in the hot months of the year（July and August）.

Weather also has a strong influence on people's feelings. Winter may be a bad time for thin people. They usually feel cold during these months. They might feel unhappy during cold weather. But fat people may have a hard time in hot summer.

Low air pressure may make people forgetful. Research shows that people leave more bags on buses and in shops on low-pressure days. However, at about 18℃, people become healthier and stronger. People feel best at this temperature.

Around the world，many wild（野生的）animals are in dangerof extinction（灭绝）because they have no place. to live in. Endangered （濒危的） wild animals live all over the world and you may find some in your hometown. Here are some steps for protecting endangered animals. 

Step 1:Find out what, animals are in danger. Spend some, time. learning about animals and what their favorite places are. 

Step2： Do something for nature reserves（自然保护区）. Nature reserves are good places to help protect endangered animals. You can give some money to nature reserves or spend your time helping the nature reserves to protect endangered animals. 

Step 3: Never buy anything that are made from endangered animals. Don't do harm to endangered animals or their living places. Instead, we should try our bestto protect them. 

Step 4： Join an endangered animal protection organization（组织）. You can save animals through these organizations by planting more trees and calling for more people to protect animals. 

If everyone works hard to protect endangered animals, we'll get a more beautiful world. Let's take actions from now on!
