Few people would even think of beginning a new job at the age of 76, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} one of America's most famous artists did just that. Anna Mary Robertson, better known as "Grandma Moses"（摩西奶奶）, turned to painting {#blank#}2{#/blank#}she was too old to work on her farm. Grandma Moses was crazy about {#blank#}3{#/blank#} （paint） soon after she picked it up and worked hard at it. She painted {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(care) and her work were nice. She first painted only to please {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（her）, and then began to sell her works {#blank#}6{#/blank#} little money. In 1993, a collector（收藏家）,Louis  Caldor happened to see several of Grandma Moses' works hanging in a shop.

    He liked them, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(buy) them at once, and set out to look for {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（many）.

    Caldor held a show to introduce the works of Grandma Moses to other {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（artist）. Grandma Moses who was world-famous, died {#blank#}10{#/blank#}December 13, 1961, at the age of 101.

    While I was waiting for the bus I saw a homeless person carrying a sign {#blank#}1{#/blank#} said he would like a cup of coffee.

    As soon as I read it, I knew this task was meant for me. I joyfully ran across the street, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (think) that getting him a cup of coffee would be great. I {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(buy) the coffee and approached him slowly. The closer I got, the more joy in his eyes I could see.

    When I handed him the hot coffee, I {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(simple) said "This is for you." I could see so much joy in his face and even a tear. He kept thanking me, holding his coffee like the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(big) treasure in his life. It made me cry to see that a simple act of {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(kind) could bring so much joy to others.

    I walked back to my bus stop, and when the bus driver opened the door and I wanted {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (pay) the bus fare, he waved me and said it had touched his heart to see me giving away that cup of coffee and{#blank#}8{#/blank#} the fare was on him. This {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(amaze)moment warmed my heart and it gave my day and my life {#blank#}10{#/blank#} new start. It brings me such joy to love and share.

    Dogs are {#blank#}1{#/blank#} very popular pet. Most of them just live with their families. But some dogs have very special jobs {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (do). A group of dogs {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (know) as "Therapy Dogs". These dogs are family pets with special training, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} allows them to go into public buildings and comfort people {#blank#}5{#/blank#} need. The dogs are trained to be calm and quiet. Loud noises and unfamiliar places don't frighten them. They enjoy spending time with people.

    Some therapy dogs go into places, such as hospitals and nursing homes. When the dogs visit the patients, the patients are cheered up. They have fun {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (pet) the dogs and look forward to their visits. The dogs help to brighten their day. Therapy dogs can improve people's health as well. Studies show that when people pet animals, their blood {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (press) and heart rates go down. They are calmer and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (they) mood improves.

    Other therapy dogs work in schools and libraries. They serve as warm and caring {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (friend) to children, but they also do {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (much). In one town in California, therapy dogs have become children's reading buddies. The dogs make a great audience. The children look forward to reading to the dogs, and the dogs love the attention.

    With the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(develop) of industry, air pollution is getting more and more serious. In Beijing, many people suffer different kinds of illnesses because {#blank#}2{#/blank#} air pollution.

    Air pollution is caused by the following {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (reason): about half of the problem is caused by vehicles. There are more and more cars, buses on the roads, and they give off {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (harm) gases.25% of air pollution is caused by factories. Another factor is the smokers. Smoking not only does harm to their health {#blank#}5{#/blank#}to others. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (beside) these, about 10% of air pollution is caused by other reasons.

    We should take some measures to fight {#blank#}7{#/blank#} pollution. New fuel can be used to take {#blank#}8{#/blank#} place of gas. We can plant more trees. If everybody realizes the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (important) of the environment and does something to stop pollution, the problem will {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (solve).

    Nobody wants to be aged, but{#blank#}1{#/blank#}it comes to visiting cities, most of us want to visit the world's oldest cities. Luoyang is one of the oldest and most {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(attract) cities in the world that I'd like to recommend to you.

    Luoyang stands out {#blank#}3{#/blank#}the oldest continually inhabited (持续居住的) city in Asia. The city is considered to be {#blank#}4{#/blank#}birthplace of Chinese culture and history as well as being one of the Seven Ancient Capitals of China. There {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (be) no other city in China that has seen so many{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(dynasty) like Luoyang.

    With such a long and exciting history, Luoyang has really a lot {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (offer). The longmen Grottoes(龙门石窟), which {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(include) in the world Heritage List since 2000, and many historic Buddhist temples{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (constant) attract tourist from all over the world.
