    There has been a recent trend in the food service industry toward lower fat content and less salt. This trend, which was started by the medical community(医学界){#blank#}1{#/blank#}a method of fighting heart disease, has had some unintended side{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(effect) such as overweight and heart disease—the very thing the medical community was trying to fight.

    Fat and salt are very important parts of a diet. They are required{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(process) the food that we eat, to recover from injury and for several other bodily functions. When fat and salt{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(remove) from food, the food tastes as if is missing something. As{#blank#}5{#/blank#}result, people will eat more food to try to make up for that something missing. Even{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(bad), the amount of fast food that people eat goes up. Fast food{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(be) full of fat and salt; by{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(eat) more fast food people will get more salt and fat than they need in their diet.

    Having enough fat and salt in your meals will reduce the urge to snack(吃点心) between meals and will improve the taste of your food. However, be{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(care) not to go to extremes. Like anything, it is possible to have too much of both,{#blank#}10{#/blank#}is not good for the health.

    As populations increased in large cities in {#blank#}1{#/blank#} nineteenth century, building subway lines was a way {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(move) people from one area of a city to another quickly and efficiently. The first major subway system, the London Underground, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(start) in 1873 using steam trains. Subways caught on quickly in London.     Two of the world's earliest subways were built in Paris and New York.     Last fall, Florida State football player, Travis Rudolph, made headlines. When he made sure that he was going to the Giants, he was completely excited."

    Teaching as a volunteer teacher is quite {#blank#}1{#/blank#} experience for Zhang Tian. He became a volunteer teacher in a village school in Guizhou Province,{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(inspire) by the idea of living independently away from home.

    However, not everything lived up to Zhang Tian's hopes. The school, with only three classrooms, was much{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(small) than he had expected. Living in the village was also tougher than he had thought. It took him a long time to adjust{#blank#}4{#/blank#} the life there. The thought of {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(leave)once flashed through his mind, but he quickly gave it up and found ways to deal with the challenges.

    {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(make)school life more colorful for his students  Zhang Tian introduced more subjects to the school. Tough as it is, he has enjoyed working with the children. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} makes him most satisfied is that his students are able to read, speak and write in English and they can learn the language{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(confident).

    Besides teaching, Zhang Tian also contacted charity organizations for help and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (teach)the villagers how to sell local products online. The {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(contribute) he has made to the village is so great that the villagers treat him as one of them.
