Once upon a time, there was a man from the State of Chu who loved his sword very much. One day, he was sitting in a boat{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(prepare)to cross a river, when he accidentally dropped his sword into the water.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}his ship moving fast on and the water running, the people on board reminded that he should go into the water to find his beloved sword back. The man felt in great{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(anxious)too. However, he turned a deaf ear to that and instead, he  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(immediate) took out a knife and made a notch(刻痕)on the side of the boat{#blank#}5{#/blank#}his dear sword fell. The people wondered why he did so. He said proudly the notch could help{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(get)his sword back. Shortly after the   {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(arrive)at the shore, he entered the water just beneath the notch he made. Though{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(spend)rather a long time, he returned empty-handed. Without doubt, he was laughed at in public and his story became{#blank#}9{#/blank#}well-known joke in China.

    Today the idiom {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(relate)to the story is used to describe a person who stick to rigid rules without considering a changing environment or describes an action made pointless by changing circumstances.

    One day, Daisy went to see the animals in a flying carpet. It{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(fly) away to Tibet in China first{#blank#}2{#/blank#}she saw an antelope. The antelope told her that they were killed for the wool taken from their {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（stomach）.Then the carpet got to Zimbabwe, where Daisy saw an elephant.     The flying carpet rose again and soon they arrived at a thick rainforest. The monkey told Daisy, “ Attention should {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（pay）to the rainforest where animals live. Our natural habitats are of great {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(important).” Daisy was affected by what the monkey said. She decided {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(make) a difference to wildlife protection.

An honest taxi driver Mr. Joseph Inso from Sagada, Mt. Province returned the cellphone which was dropped from the pocket of my niece to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} front seat of the taxi Ganduyan.

We boarded the taxi at Lubas {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (go) to Km 4, La Trinidad, Benguet at about 9:00 am on May 26, 2019. However, when we arrived at the house, my niece noticed her cellphone was missing. She searched her pockets and her bags only {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (find) it in neither of them. So she suspected (怀疑) she might have {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(accidental) dropped it in the taxi we boarded. Right away we contacted the{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (lose) cellphone and it was ringing but no reply.

It's after two days {#blank#}6{#/blank#}the taxi driver found the cellphone. Then the taxi driver {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (remind) of the calls that we had sent him. So he contacted me this afternoon and I met him at Slaughter Compound, Baguio City. I was very {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (appreciate) of his returning the cellphone.

I asked for his name and took pictures {#blank#}9{#/blank#}the taxi. To the taxi driver, thank you very much for your {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (honest).
