More and more Chinese are jogging to stay healthy. Most joggers will run alone, but some will jog with friends or even coaches. The Beijing Olympic Forest Park is one of the most popular spots.

Jogging after a whole day's work can be a way to relax people. It is true for He Wenjun, whose workplace is right near the Beijing Olympic Forest Park. She discovered her athletic talent at the age of seven, when she began playing tennis. Then she turned to jogging, and she has kept it for 10 years.

"I come to jog almost every day after work, whenever I have time. And for me, a girl, it helps me to keep slim, " she said.

She says she prefers jogging alone, so she can focus better. She loves jogging, even during Beijing's smoggy days. "If the smog is severe, I'll hold off for a while. But if I really want to get away from work, I'll wear a mask and go on jogging, " she said.

Wu Houbin started two years ago, when he was overweight. Within two months, his weight dropped from 82 kilograms to 64 kilograms. The success helped him recover health, and he has made friends.

Jogging does not require speed. If you want to stick to the game, you need to take it as a habit, and then eventually a hobby.

Jogging is beneficial for heartlung function, but improper technique damages your knees and ankles. And, jogging in a bad environment can cause some serious problems. So you should first consider your physical condition. It is advised to jog three or four times a week, and 30 to 60 minutes each time. The best time to jog is around 4 p. m. —5 p. m.

    Doctors say anger can be an extremely damaging emotion, unless you learn how to deal with it. They warn that anger can lead to heart disease, stomach problems, headaches, emotional problems and possibly cancer.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Some people express anger openly in a calm reasonable way. Others burst with anger, and scream and yell. But other people keep their anger inside. They can not or will not express it. This is called repressing anger.

    For years many doctors thought that repressing anger was more dangerous to a person's health than expressing it. They said that when a person is angry, the brain releases the same hormones (荷尔蒙). They speed the heart rate, raise blood pressure, or sugar into the blood, etc. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Some doctors say that both repressing and expressing anger can be dangerous. They believe that those who express anger violently may be more likely to develop heart disease, and they believe that those who keep anger inside may face a greater danger of high blood pressure.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} They say the first step is to admit that you are angry and to recognize the real cause of the anger, then decide if the cause is serious enough to get angry about. If it is, they say, “{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Wait until your anger has cooled down and you are able to express yourself calmly and reasonably.”

    Doctors say that a good way to deal with anger is to find humor in the situation that has made you angry. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A. In general the person feels excited and ready to act

B. They said that laughter is much healthier than anger.

C. Expressing anger violently is more harmful than repressing it

    Teens are certainly confusing and complicated, but there is one thing that's clear about them: More than anything else, they want to fit in with their peers. They want and need to stay connected. Without connection, they feel lonely, anxious and sad{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Teens, like adults, run into all sorts of dilemmas with their friends. Friendships are neither all good nor all bad. As an adult, you have experience with these sorts of friends and have made your own adjustments in these relationships. Given both your own life experience and your concern for your teens, you're in an excellent position to help your teens set boundaries with friends. Certainly, some friendships are worth maintaining, while some are not,{#blank#}2{#/blank#}There are many ways you can help your teens handle these relationships effectively. Here are some steps I would suggest taking:

    Teach your teens to label their feelings. They need to know what it is that they are feeling first to effectively set limits and boundaries with friends. Help them label setbacks, exhaustion, disappointment and anger. This is no small task. Many kids struggle with labeling their feelings.

     {#blank#}3{#/blank#}If they sense that something is wrong in a friendship, they're probably right, end they need to quit it as soon as possible.

    Explain to your teens that they can't be all things to all friends. And let them know that friendships are most likely to grow and continue if they feel good about them.

    Discuss different ways to set boundaries. Explain to your kids that just as it makes sense to say yes at times{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Just as it's fine to spend lots of time with a friend during the week, it's equally OK to spend less time with the same friend when that friend is being too demanding or needy.

    Look at your behavior in relationships{#blank#}5{#/blank#} They are quietly watching your every move. So .make sure you're setting a good example for them to follow in your relationships as well.

A. so they need to tel what are right relationships

B. and they shall find their way ou of those friendship

C. Keep in mind that you are your teens' most important role model

E. it's also socially acceptable to say no at other times

F. Encourage your teens to mind their feelings and follow the sixth sense

G. but they may get exhausted by their friendships as well

How to Retain More of Every Book You Read

    In recent years, I have focused on building good reading habits and learned how to read more. For most people, the final goal of reading a nonfiction book is to actually improve their life by learning a new skill, understanding an important problem, or looking at the world in a new way{#blank#}1{#/blank#} With that in mind, I'd like to share three reading comprehension skills that I use to make my reading more productive.

    Make all of your notes searchable. Having searchable book notes is important for returning to ideas easily{#blank#}2{#/blank#} An idea is only useful if you can find it when you need it. There is no need to leave the task of reading comprehension merely up to your memory.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} When you go to the library, all of the books will be divided into different categories. In the real world, of course, knowledge is not separated into neatly defined boxes{#blank#}4{#/blank#}For that reason, I try to consider how the book Fm reading is connected with all of the ideas that are already inside my head. Whenever possible, I try to combine the lessons Fm learning with previous ideas.

    Summarize the book in one paragraph{#blank#}5{#/blank#}It forces me to review my notes and consider what is really important about the book. In many cases, I find that I can usually get just as much useful information from reading my one-paragraph summary and reviewing my notes as I would if I read the entire book again.

A. Combine thoughts as you read.

B. All knowledge is interconnected.

C. Describe the book to your friends.

D. Read widely if you want to practice the skills.

E. It increases the chances that you will apply what you read in real life.

F. Once I finish a book, I challenge myself to conclude the text in just three sentences.

G. It's important to read books, but it is just as important to remember what you read and use it.

    We know that choosing a college major can be extremely hard. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. However, it is a challenge to pick one when it feels as if the rest of your adult life is riding on that choice.     {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

    Some students choose a major simply because they love the subject matter. If you love what you're studying, you're more likely to fully engage with your classes and college experience. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. What is niksen? In Dutch, "niksen" literally means "to do nothing". Niksen used to have negative associations of laziness.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} The world today is more connected and faster. Niksen is allowing ourselves to take time out and consciously switch off, without feeling guilty.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

It enables you to prioritise (优先) yourself and what you need. Often we think we're busy, but who can't take a half-hour break? Niksen brings the same benefits as mindfulness in terms of mental health, sleep, creativity and enhanced focus. It helps the body and brain recover.

Describe some easy ways people can embrace doing nothing?

It might feel awkward at first. Do a relaxation exercise and let your mind wander. There's a Dutch verb, uitwaaien, to "go out in the wind".{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Go out and watch clouds — lie on your back and make up stories. People-watch. Indoors, choose a nice space and make it your own — make it comfortable, add some flowers, sit by the window and watch the day go by.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

How can people ensure that niksen becomes a regular and fulfilling part of their life?

It should be a mindset. Schedule time and give yourself permission to do nothing. Start small — five minutes, ten, half an hour a day, up to a few hours at the weekend. Repeat to yourself, "It's a good thing to do nothing," and practise saying, "no, another time," when you're busy and somebody asks for your help.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A. It refreshes the mind.

B. How can niksen help people?

C. How did you become an expert in it?

D. Do one thing a day for the purpose of it.

E. I write about mindfulness and psychology.

F. But it's been reinterpreted as a positive practice.

G. Single-focus crafts such as knitting or sewing can be a helpful first step.
