    Last Friday, our school organized us to a fire station, what we had expected for several day. When we got there, the fire-fighters welcomed us but led us into an exhibition hall. There one of them delivered the lecture on fire control to us. After that, they show us how to operate a fire extinguisher, and even gave our chances to practise using it.     Last year, I went to Australia for a short-term study like an international student. One of my classmates suggested we shared our favorite recipes for foods from our own countries during New Year's party. We all agreed to this wonderful idea and cooked my unique dishes for the party. Hariyati from Indonesia shared a kind of cookie what was shaped like elephant ears. Susan from South Africa prepared some sweep dumplings packed in several banana leaf. Chiemi from Japan cooked special rice balls mixing with fish. And I was served Daoxiao noodles, my hometown—Shanxi's local food. These variously foods were all delicious. Therefore, my favorite was still Chinese food.

    In the summer holiday, we travelled to Qingdao and pay a visit to my uncle there. It was a long and tired journey. But the moment when I arrived, I fell in love with the city.     My friend Miller still remembers the excitement when she begin to use the “red packet" function on WeChat in the 2018. The rule is the person who grabs the highest amount sends the next. The amount of money one can grab depends on his and her luck. Attracted by this unique way of communication, she participated. Two years ago, when Miller was sent a 5.20 yuan red packet, she had no idea about the hiding meaning.     A photo on my desk always takes me back to the moment that I gave a talent show for foreign friend. In the picture, I can be seen delicate performing Erhu. When I introduced myself at English, the audience applauded encourage me. I was no longer nervous. I devoted myself wholeheartedly to play. My performance was quite a success. Before the performance, an American was named Amy, who was of my age, sang the song God Is a Girl to me. We even make a deal that we would teach each other my mother tongues.

I have worked from ages 17 to now (I am 60 this year), and I've really enjoy my career in IT. One week after leave school, I started to work. Now I do feel that my work has shaped myself in many ways.

At some point soon, I will retire— and I am terrifying! I have no idea that I will do with all that time or why I will do it. I am happy married and have a 21-year-old son. My wife and I can travel and I can read book. There are operas to enjoy it and restaurants to try, but this isn't going to get me out bed at a reasonable time!
