There are many different ways to solve a problem. One way is to be creative. People often think creative thinking is just for artists and designers, but that is not true. Dr. Edward de Bono, an expert in creative thinking and problem solving, has shown the world that using creativity to solve problems is very useful in business and in our communities, and will continue to be so in the future.

One example of creative thinking is the solution (解决办法) to a parking problem in a town center. In the areas close to stores, people can only park for 20minutes. There are parking meters where people pay to park in these areas. However, the problem is that many people leave their cars there for longer than 20 minutes. Dr. Edward de Bono's solution is to make a rule that all cars parked in these areas must keep their headlights on. Of course, drivers will want to return to their cars before their car batteries(蓄电池) die.

According to Dr. Edward de Bono, people will need to use creative thinking more often in the future. To help people think more creatively, he designed the"Six Thinking Hats"system. The system helps people think about a problem in different ways in order to find a solution. In the system, there are six imaginary hats of different colors. Each hat represents (代 表) a different way of thinking. For example, the white hat helps people consider the facts. The black hat is the most logical(有逻辑的) and helps people consider why a possible solution may not work. So, next time you have a problem in your community, you can think about it creatively from different perspectives, and see what best ideas you can get. And that's all for today's program.

Pine cones （松果） can tell whether dry weather is coming. Pine cones open their scales （鳞片） when the weather gets very dry. They do this to spread seeds（传播种子）. When the air is a little wet，they close up to keep their seeds dry. Pine seeds travel by wind，so they have to stay as dry and light as possible in order to fly. 

Nature is man's teacher. Man should protect the nature，and man should get along well with it. There is much more that people can learn from nature. 

"Can I have a glass of hot water?" This is a very common question in a restaurant for many Chinese people, nothing is more common than drinking hot water every day. However the simple habit is hard for people from other countries to understand. 

For many Westerners, the idea of drinking hot water is very strange. However, most Chinese people think the Americans' habit of drinking ice water is also strange and even unhealthy. Some old people in China would carry a kettle(水壶) when they travel. Chinese doctors advise more people to take on the habit of drinking hot water especially for women. 

But in Western countries, drinking hot water isn't common. Westerners often have drinks with ice, not just on hot days but almost every day. 

There is a story online about an American who has been in Beijing for over five years. He visited a local restaurant after going back to America. He asked for a glass of hot water, but this request(要求) surprised the waitress, "To...to...to drink?" she asked him. Finally the man received the hot water but felt cold stares from every corner of the restaurant. 

Westerners wonder why Chinese people drink hot water as Chinese wonder why Westerners drink cold water. This cultural difference is not a simple problem, but related to(与......有关联) history, culture and science. 

As a matter of fact, many Chinese teenagers now like bottled water for daily drinking. With teenagers growing up, will drinking hot water become a less popular life habit in China?

 Have you ever been doing something and, suddenly, you get this strange feeling that you've seen or heard {#blank#}1{#/blank#} before? Although you know {#blank#}2{#/blank#} you' re seeing or hearing is happening right now for the first time, you still feel that it {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( happen) before.

 Most people feel this way from time to time. There's {#blank#}4{#/blank#} special name for this feeling. It is called déjà vu, which means" already seen" in French.

 Experiencing déjà vu is a strong sense(感觉) of {#blank#}5{#/blank#}( remember) something. But the facts of this experience {#blank#}6{#/blank#}( be) often very unclear.

 Most people who experience the feeling of déjà vu believe the familiar situation might appear in their {#blank#}7{#/blank#}( dream). Sometimes they are very sure of that.

 Is déjà vu a {#blank#}8{#/blank#}( six) sense into the future or the past? Not likely! Researchers believe the feeling of déjà vu is most likely just a joke our brains(大脑) play {#blank#}9{#/blank#} us. The joke makes us {#blank#}10{#/blank#}( think) that an experience we' re having now is being remembered rather than happening right now.
