I found it very difficult to speak in public. I think it's due to fact that I'm naturally shy.

When I (ask) to deliver a speech in my English class, I just stood still in front of the entire class. I couldn't move or say a word. I remember the classroom was (silence)for several seconds. During that time, I was even more aware of everything around me, the other students staring me, my teacher watching me, and the clock ticking on the wall. It seemed s if the world were standing still. I could feel sweat (drop) down my back. My teacher saw that I was frozen with fear. She finally came up to me and told me (relax), take a deep breath, and start again from the very beginning. Her kindness made me feel better. I finally (get) over my fear and delivered my speech(success). When I finished the speech, my (classmate)all cheered for me!

Now I am still grateful for this experience, for  helped me overcome my shyness and build up my confidence.

High school graduates on the Chinese mainland have shown increasing preference for Hong Kong {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(university), with enrollment (入学人数) jumping from 7 students in 1997 to about 4,900 in 2017, according to the data published on Thursday by the EIC Group.

“Mainland students enjoy the advantages studying in Hong Kong, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}they can choose{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (work)and live after graduation, or make Hong Kong a springboard (跳板)for entering top colleges and universities in other countries," said Hong Lijuan, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}international education expert from the EIC Group. Hong Kong still needs more talented people, {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(especial) in its finance, banking, and tourism, according to Hong.

Hong Kong's economy{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(develop) and improved in recent years, and the local government has created policies (政策) to attract talented people by {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(allow) graduates who have no local permits to live and work in the place for at least one year.

{#blank#}8{#/blank#}June 27, China's central government announced a series of policies (政策)to improve economic and cultural relationships between Hong Kong and the mainland. I think exchanges between students and teachers from Hong Kong and mainland universities will be enlarged and Hong Kong colleges{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(encourage) to set up educational centers in neighboring Guangdong Province. These policies will provide more and{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(good) job opportunities for mainland students studying in Hong Kong over the next years.

Stress used to be an almost unknown word, but now that we are used to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (talk) about it, I have found that people are beginning to get stressed about being stressed.

In recent years, stress {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (regard) as a cause of a whole range of medical problems, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} high blood pressure to mental illness. But like so many other things, it is only too much stress {#blank#}4{#/blank#} does you harm. It is time you considered that if there were no stress in your life, you would achieve a little. If you are stuck at home with no stress, then your level of performance will be low. Up to a certain point, the more stress you are under, the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (good) your performance will be. Beyond a certain point, though, further stress will only lead to exhaustion, illness and finally a breakdown. You can tell when you are over the top and on the downward slope, by asking yourself {#blank#}6{#/blank#} number of questions. Do you, for instance, feel that too much is being expected of {#blank#}7{#/blank#}, and yet find it impossible to say no? Do you find yourself getting impatient or {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (annoy) with people over unimportant things?... If the answer to all those questions is yes, you had better {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (control) your stress, as you probably are under more stress than is good for you.

To some extent you can control the amount of stress in your life. Doctors have worked out a chart showing how much stress is involved in various events. Getting married is 50, pregnancy 40, moving house 20, Christmas 12, etc. If the total stress in your life is over 150, you are twice as likely {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (get) ill.
