Theme Parks

    Parks provide people{#blank#}1{#/blank#} a place to amuse{#blank#}2{#/blank#} for a while. In recent decades, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, many parks have been designed to provide{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (entertain). We call them theme parks. Then new parks are usually huge places and have a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} of things to see and do. Theme Parks have a certain theme—that the whole parks are based {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. The {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (old) theme park in the world is Disneyland. It seemed like a magical world which can make your dream come true.                            My Stay in New York

    After graduation from university, I had been unable to secure a permanent job in my small town. So I decided to leave home for New York,{#blank#}1{#/blank#}I might have a better chance to find a good job. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (earn) some money to pay the daily expenses, I started work in a local café as a waiter.     Soon I had lived in the city for over six months but I still did not like it.     Instead of finding summer jobs, many US teenagers are spending {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (they) free time taking classes.     Despite this, a summer job is still believed to benefit teenagers. Early work experience is {#blank#}9{#/blank#} human activity that develops people's social skills. When kids are working, they gradually gain {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (practice) knowledge and understanding of the labor market.

    If you go out to the fields at night in spring or summer, you can hear frogs singing {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（joy） here and there. It seems as if they were performing a field symphony.

    The frog is a good and useful creature that benefits human beings. They can catch fast-moving insects. Each frog eats a large number of pests that are harmful{#blank#}2{#/blank#}crops. This little creature is regarded{#blank#}3{#/blank#}the natural enemy of pests".

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}now frogs are getting fewer and fewer. This is because they are killed and put on the table as a delicious dish by their chief enemy, human beings. It is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}shameless and cruel act, isn't it?{#blank#}6{#/blank#}cause responsible for the rapid reduction of frogs is that farmers use insecticides （杀虫剂）to kill pests and frogs get killed as a result of drinking poisoned water{#blank#}7{#/blank#}eating poison-killed insects.

    Something must be done without delay{#blank#}8{#/blank#}（save）frogs. If we don't punish those{#blank#}9{#/blank#}sell and kill frogs to make money, then one day all of us {#blank#}10{#/blank#}（punish） by nature for failing to keep the balance of nature.

    Keeping a diary in English is one of the effective ways to improve our English writing ability.

    Compared with other forms of writing, it is shorter and takes{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (little) time. It can help us to develop the habit of thinking in English. If we persist in this practice, gradually we'll learn how{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(express)ourselves in English. In keeping a diary in English, we certainly run up against many{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(difficult). In the first place, it often happens that we have trouble in{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (find) appropriate words and phrases to give expression to our mind. Secondly, there{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (be) many idiomatic ways of saying things in Chinese. And it is extremely hard for us to put them into English {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (proper).

    As far as I am {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(concern), my suggestion is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}we should always have a notebook and a Chinese-English dictionary within easy reach. Whenever something beats us, we can first put it down in our notebook and then consult our dictionary. We can also ask our English teacher {#blank#}9{#/blank#} help, if necessary. In short, I believe that it is of great use to keep a diary in English for{#blank#}10{#/blank#} development of our writing skills.
