It is natural that young people are often{#blank#}1{#/blank#} （comfort） when they are with their parents.

    They say that their parents don't understand them. They often think that their parents are out of touch with modern ways,{#blank#}2{#/blank#}  they are too serious and too strict with their children, and that they seldom give their children a free hand.

   Parents often find{#blank#}3{#/blank#} difficult to win their children's trust and they always forget how they themselves felt when young.

   Young people like to act without much thinking. It is one of their ways to show that they have grown up and they can face any difficult situation. Adults worry{#blank#}4{#/blank#} （much） easily. Most of them plan things ahead.

    Young people make their parents angry with their{#blank#}5{#/blank#} （choose） in clothes, in entertainment and in music. But they do not mean to cause any trouble: It just shows that they feel cut off{#blank#}6{#/blank#} the adult's world, andthey have not yet been accepted into their world. That's why young people want to make a new culture of{#blank#}7{#/blank#} own. And if their parents do not like their music or entertainment or clothes or their way of speech, this will make the young people very happy.

    Sometimes youare so proud of yourself that you do not want your parents to say “yes” to what you do. All you want is{#blank#}8{#/blank#} （leave） alone and do what you like. It is natural enough, after{#blank#}9{#/blank#} （be）a child for so many years, when you were completely under your parents' control.

    If you plan to control your life, you'd better win your parents. If your parents see that you have{#blank#}10{#/blank#} high sense of responsibility, they will give you the right to do what you want to do.

    When I was a child in 1970s, my family was very poor, just{#blank#}1{#/blank#} other average families in the countryside. The second-hand clothes and rain leaking roof of old house became part of my memory. However, the worst{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (impress) is that I was feeling hungry all the time. Sometimes hunger bit me so severely {#blank#}3{#/blank#} I regarded dried sweet potato slices as delicious snack. At that time, my dream was getting enough to fill my empty stomach.

    In the early years of 1980s, with the reform and opening-up policy {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (carry) out, the children's dream came true.     The first speaker talked about the positive{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(affect) of the Internet on our lives. The first is its value for people who {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(look) for information now. For example, with the touch of a button or the click of a mouse, a student will find enough information at his or her command. The second is our ability {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (relate) to others through the Internet and it is especially important for disabled people {#blank#}5{#/blank#} can't leave their homes. The {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (two) speaker talked about the negative effects of the Internet {#blank#}7{#/blank#}our lives. For example, some experts think that the outcome of spending too much time on the Internet is difficulty in {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(form) social bonds.     Both sides presented lots of statistics to support their arguments. My own judgment is that though the Internet is beneficial, we should use our {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(intelligent) and not be a slave to it!

    In the age of the smart phone, there seems no reason to ask questions about: the weather forecast, a business's phone number or directions, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} can be easily found on Google, but very often people {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(actual) ask these things by {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(make) a phone call. Your answer may be replied to with a thank­you e­mail. This isn't the first time that great changes {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(take) place in our manners due to technology. In {#blank#}5{#/blank#} late 1870s, when the telephone {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(invent), people didn't know how {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(greet) a caller. Often there is just {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(silent). Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor, suggested that people say "Ahoy", {#blank#}9{#/blank#} finally "Hello" went out. The greeting is now used in everyday face­to­face communications. Try to be respectful no matter who you communicate {#blank#}10{#/blank#}. Just keep it in mind that politeness never goes out of fashion.
