    Winners in life always set goals and then follow{#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Winners decide what they want in life and then get there by making plans and setting goals. Unsuccessful people just let life happen by accident. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (goal) are not difficult to set, and they are also not difficult to reach. It is up to you to find out what your goals really are. It is you {#blank#}10{#/blank#} decide what to do and in what direction to aim your life.

    Two weeks ago, we reported about developments with {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (electricity) planes and flying cars. That technology could bring change to commercial and personal travel. Last week, two {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(company), Kitty Hawk and Uber, announced their plans to bring flying cars to reality. Sooner {#blank#}3{#/blank#}you think, flying cars may appear in the skies. Imagine never {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(have) to worry about traffic, stoplights, or road construction. A flying car could get somewhere much faster than one traveling by road.

    Kitty Hawk is a start-up tech company supported by Google co-founder. Its first flying cars,{#blank#}5{#/blank#}travel at a speed of up to 40 kilometers an hour,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}expect) to go on sale by the end of 2017. Uber expects to launch flying taxis in Texas and Dubai by 2020.{#blank#}7{#/blank#}says its flying taxis could travel up to 241 kilometers an hour, with the travel time {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(reduce) from 2 hours on the road to 15 minutes in the air between San Francisco and San Jose, California. Riders could use the Uber app {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(book) a flying taxi to take them to their destinations. It is estimated that flying taxi travel will be much {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (expensive) compared with road taxi travel.

    I gain a lot of rewarding experiences from some social activities. Our local Community Youth Club is a very popular organization with young people in my town. I have been a member for four years now and I've taken part in a lot of interesting projects,{#blank#}1{#/blank#}include fun activities such as holiday camps and discos. We have organized sports competitions and we have even made a video.

    But it isn't all just enjoyment, we have also started doing social work to help people in our neighborhood. We{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(organize) activities for small children during the holidays. We have also formed a special support group to help young people stop{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(smoke).

    We are particularly proud of the most recent group we have created. It organizes regular visits{#blank#}4{#/blank#}the local old people's home. My class spent an afternoon at a home and everyone found the visit very rewarding. The old people there were{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(talk) and they told us their personal stories{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(cheer) .

    During our visit, the home was filled with {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(laugh). But we realized that life wasn't always easy .Some of them were in poor health and were very

{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (happy).

    Many young people like me do not live with our grandparents and we have little contact with elderly people. As a result, many young people don't know{#blank#}9{#/blank#}

    they are like. After this visit, my friends and I decided that we should do{#blank#}10{#/blank#}to help improve the quality of their lives.

    A good teacher is many things to many people. In my own experience, the people I respect most are the teachers {#blank#}1{#/blank#} demanded the most discipline from their students.

    I miss one teacher in particular that I had in high school. I think she was a good teacher because she was a very strict person. I remember very {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (clear) a sign over her classroom door. It was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} simple sign that said, “Laboratory-in this room the first five letters of the word was emphasized, not the last seven.” In other words, I guess, labor {#blank#}4{#/blank#} her was more important than oratory which means {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (make) speeches.

    She prepared her work very carefully and demanded us to do the same. We got lots of homework from her.{#blank#}6{#/blank#} she had broken her arm, and everybody in the class thought that maybe the homework {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (reduce), but it continued just the same. She checked our work stamping her name at the bottom of the papers to show that she had read {#blank#}8{#/blank#}.

    I think sometimes teachers who demand most are liked {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. But {#blank#}10{#/blank#} time goes by this discipline really seems to benefit the students.

    Recently, an Internet slang word Foxi- or "Buddhist"- is becoming increasingly popular as it encourages people, especially {#blank#}1{#/blank#} young to remain calm and peaceful and avoid conflicts as much as possible- in other words, to live like a Buddha.

    The phrase {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (create) for the first time in 2014 in Japan to describe young men who no longer bother to start relationships with women or follow someone else's life path. They prefer to stay in their own peaceful world without {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (disturb) and care little about passion and success.

    In this fast-changing and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (compete) world, many people are {#blank#}5{#/blank#} heavy pressure. It's only natural that people are seeking for a spiritual bay. However, some would compare "foxi" with "demotivational (无动力的) culture"- a phrase {#blank#}6{#/blank#}describes young people who feel aimless and powerless. They say that foxi actually reflects the reality {#blank#}7{#/blank#} young people are losing their will to fight. They are pretending {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (keep) a healthy and wise attitude towards failure simply because they are incapable(无能力的) of succeeding.
