Today is Sunday. It's fine today. Jenny goes to the zoo with her mother. They can see many animals. There are tigers, lions, pandas, snakes and other animals. Look! The pandas are over there. They're from Sichuan, China. Look at the baby panda! It's climbing the tree. How cute it is!

    Next, they go to see the lions. The lions are so strong. Their mouths are too big. The tigers are next to them. They are from Asia. They are yellow and black. At last, Jenny and her mother go to see the monkeys. Some are climbing mountains, and some are eating bananas. The monkey is Jenny's favourite animal. It's so fun!

    Jenny sees a lot of animals at the zoo and she is so happy today!

Chinese students thank their teachers on September 10th, Teachers' Day. How do American students thank their teachers?

First of all, US schools thank their teachers the whole first week in May. Their special Teachers' Day falls on the Tuesday of that week. During the week, the school will have special parties and give teachers gifts. There are "Thank you" signs everywhere to thank teachers.

US students give small gifts to their teachers to let them know how great they are. It could be a simple gift like a thank-you card with a personal message. US teachers love it because they think it's meaningful. They like it even more when students say "thank you" directly (直接地) to them. US teachers like getting arts and crafts (手工艺品) from children best. Little things to decorate (装饰) their classroom are also common gifts in the US. This could be a small plant.

It doesn't take much to celebrate a Teachers' Day. But students shouldn't just wait until Teachers' Day. 他们应该一直都感谢他们的老师。
