The Terracotta Warriors, one of the eight wonders of the world, have enjoyed international fame. Located in Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, they are warriors of the first-ever emperor in1China or Qin Shi Huang in Chinese, Ying Zheng.

Even though I knew they are life-sized sculptures (雕塑), I was still2 when I saw them. I was lucky enough to3 the pit (深坑) and take a close look at them for the first time.

They were made around 2, 200 years ago. When I first got down into the pit, the sculptures scared me4some of them lacked body parts.

I was told that the Terracotta Warriors are not easy to preserve (保存;保护) for over thousands of years. But to my surprise, they were actually5 in color when they were first discovered. However, the color fell off6after being exposed in the air.

The difficulty of preservation is one of the reasons why they have stopped7out other pits. Although the Terracotta Warriors are breathtaking, they are only part of the Mausoleum (陵墓) of the First Qin Emperor.

Shen Wenxi, an expert and museum librarian of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told me there's an even grander area8 man-made mountains, rivers and seas inside the emperor' s underground palace.

However, there is no plan to dig them until there are perfect9of protecting and preserving them. Experts are still busy restoring the relics (修复文物) that were10in the 1970s.

I like riding my bike in the UK. I can get anywhere on my bike in Cambridge. It's really fun. But riding a bike in the UK is different from that in China. 

First, you have to ride on the left of the road. In China, you ride on the right. When I go to the UK for the first time, I ride on the right of the road. Cars run fast by me. It is terrible(可怕的). 

Second, the UK bikes have lights on them. They have a white light at the front and a red one at the back. You can use them at night and early in the morning. 

Third, in China, bikes usually have a stand (支架). But you can't find them on most of the UK bikes. Why? You can't leave your bike where you want. You have to put it in a bike park. It's a good idea. 

I wake up at six in the morning. Dad is putting the cows and sheep onto the trucks. Mom is putting my favorite milk food and some dried meat (肉干) in a bag. We will start driving to another past ure (牧场). We won't forget to take our yurt(毡房) with us!

 My family moves like this four times every year. It's a tradition (传统) of the Kazak people in Altay, Xinjiang. We have about 100 sheep and 40 cows. We move to different places as the seasons change. So, our animals can always have fresh grass to eat.

 Kazak people have been traveling this way for thousands of years. In the past, it took people about ten days to get from one place to another. If it rained or snowed, traveling was even harder. Luckily, now we have trucks. It only takes us five hours on the road! And as we move from place to place, our lives keep getting better and better.

Friends are very important in people's lives. Just as a saying goes, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} I think it's very easy to make friends with other people and build a friendship between each other. However, it is not easy to get true friendship, I think. So what is true friendship? In my opinion, true friendship includes:

 First of all, true friendship must treat their friends loyally and help each other. In other words, you must not take advantage of your friends, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} For example, some unfriendly people make friends in order to cheat money and feelings, or get a certain secret. I don't think these are true friendships.

Second, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} For example, if a friend is really in need of money to escape(逃避) from some troubles, true friends might lend it and help him or her.

Third, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} One of the greatest men once said," If you tell your happiness to your friend, you will get double happiness . If you tell your sadness to your friend, you will get half."
