Every day has just 24 hours -- and this applies to all people. Some people are constantly pushed for time. This article is about how we can learn to manage our valuable time more effectively.

In reality, we cannot manage time. We can only manage ourselves and our relationship with time. And habits are not that easy to change.

Below here are tips that can help you manage your time better.

    Organize your goals.

Organize your goals based on two criteria: degree of urgency and importance: a. Should be done today, tomorrow, etc. b. Should be done at "that date". c. Can be put off for so many days. d. Can ask someone else to do it.

    Clean up your list.

Make a list of everything you think that is not helping or benefiting you and do not do them!

    Focus on one goal.

Concentrate only on one goal at a time. Otherwise, if while dealing with something you think about everything you can do later, most likely you will get bored and disappointed. The boredom is guaranteed with this way of thinking.

    Identify your deadlines.

Divide the activities per day/week and long-term goals to get a clear picture of what you have to do and when.

    Find suitable work environment.

    Be realistic.

Make sure that your goals are realistic and do not try for the impossible.

    Say "NO".

Learn to say "no" to other activities, requests and people who eat your time (unless indeed at that very moment it is necessary for you to help them).

A. Allow time to adjust your list if necessary.

B. After all, how we use our time is largely a matter of habit.

C. Create a suitable environment to work, one that fits your style.

D. Check the list of what you should do and when it must be completed.

E. After organizing your goals, start with the most important and urgent.

F. It is like every time you eat you think all the meals you must eat in your life.

G. Do not let boredom discourage you if what you have to complete is boring.

Make Your Brain Smarter

    You know that eating a proper diet and getting plenty of exercise help make your body healthy and strong. But did you know that there are ways to make your brain healthier and smarter? Studies show that when the brain is forced to do something new, it creates new neural (神经的) pathways. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    ● Limit your TV viewing.

Watching an average TV show requires very little brain power and brings the same result as neglecting (忽视) physical exercise.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} If you watch TV, choose something educational and informative.

    ● Use your non-dominant (非支配的) hand.

If you are right-handed, use your left hand for everyday activities, or use your right hand if you are left-handed. Doing familiar things in a new way will cause your brain to create new neural networks. Brushing our teeth is something we do daily. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} But maybe we should. Experts suggest that we can force the brain to work by changing things up and working with our non-dominant hand. So the next time you brush your teeth, open the tube, apply your toothpaste and brush with the opposite hand.

    ●{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

Jump in the shower and shut your eyes. Even if you drop the soap—that's okay. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Searching for the soap while feeling the textures (质地) with your eyes closed works. Using your fingers to make fine distinctions between objects or textures can reconnect the brain areas involved in touch, suggests Larry Katz, a professor of neurobiology at Duke University Medical Center and author.

A. Shower with your eyes closed.

B. Smart people rarely follow a set pattern.

C. The more pathways you have, the smarter you will be.

D. Use your different senses.

E. We really don't put that much thought into it.

F. Put your brain to best use.

G. Your brain will become weak just as your muscles do.

Understanding body language can lead to closer relationships. Noticing the signals that people send out with their body language and being able to effectively read them is a very useful skill.

Watch for crying. Usually crying is considered a sign of sadness, but crying can also be an expression of happiness. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Thus, when judging crying, you'll need to look for other signals to determine the real meaning of the crying.

Look for signs of anger. Signs of anger include v-shaped eyebrows (眉毛), and wide eyes.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Arms tightly crossed over the other is a common sign that the person is angry and is closing himself off to you.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Studies have found that when people are engaged in an interesting conversation, their eyes remain focused on their partner's face about 80% of the time.

Look for expressions of embarrassment. Embarrassment can be signaled by turning the eyes or head away, and forcing smiles. If someone looks down at the floor a lot, they are probably shy, or embarrassed.{#blank#}4{#/blank#} People are often thinking and feeling unpleasant emotions when they are in the process of staring at the ground.

Notice any sense of pride. People express pride by showing a small smile, moving their head backward, and putting their hands behind their backs.

As a general rule, people are best at reading facial expressions, and then body movements, and, finally, personal space and touch.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} People are generally better at reading body movements that are pleasant rather than unpleasant. One study finds that individuals are better at accurately interpreting (领会) happiness, and excitement, compared to anger, sadness, and fear.

A. Read interest from eyes.

B. Look for signals of anxiety.

C. However, different body movements have different meanings.

D. Down-turned mouth is also a sign of being angry.

E. People also tend to look down when they are upset.

F. Crying can also come about through laughter and humor.

So it silently serves your needs and never lets itself grow. When mind loses its freedom to grow, creativity gets a full stop.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}  Now why reading and not watching TV? Because reading has been the most educative tool used by us right from the childhood. Just like that to develop other aspects of our life, we have to get help from reading.

Once you read a book, you just don't run your eyes through the lines, but even your mind decodes it and explains it to you. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}Now this seed is unknowingly used by you in your future to develop new ideas. The same seed if used many times, can help you link and relate a lot of things, of which you would have never thought in your wildest dreams!

This is nothing but creativity. More the number of books you read, your mind will open up like never before. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}Within no time you start speaking English or any language fluently with your friends or other people and you never seem to run out of the right words at the right time.

ChatGPT, launched in November, 2022, has attracted over 100 million monthly users in just two months, which is considered the fastest-growing consumer app. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

ChatGPT can write emails, computer code, even academic papers and poems. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} With various functions, it is suspected to do no good to multiple areas, above all the higher education.

So is ChatGPT a benefit or a trouble?

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Some universities have banned it due to the warning that it could prompt more students to cheat, especially in exams. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Andreas Schleicher, director of education and skills of the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development, for instance, said he welcomes ChatGPT because "it gives people a chance" to concentrate less on tasks that technology can perform equally well.

According to a survey covering more than 100 educators and over 1,000 students, one-third of the educators said they believe ChatGPT should be banned in schools and universities, while the rest supported students having access to it. The attitude of most students sees a distinct difference. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

As a result, the observed value and usefulness of ChatGPT seem to outweigh the risks. What we should focus on has shifted to better deal with the chatbot and its development.

A. The answers varies greatly across the world.

B. It is undoubtedly a shocking achievement.

C. Also it has succeeded in passing different kinds of exams.

D. By comparison, others regard it as a blessing rather than a curse.

E. They admitted having sought help from ChatGPT to complete their homework.

F. The worry is that ChatGPT could change the basic training structure of higher education.

G. It is widely discussed whether and to what extent AI should be involved in a scientific article.

As the world struggles to deal with the climate crisis, some companies are working to remove polluting carbon dioxide from the air. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} But two US companies have recently made important progress.

Scientists say large amounts of CO2 must be removed from the CO2 atmosphere and stored. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} But there's so much CO2 in the atmosphere that just planting trees and protecting forests won't solve the problem. And, when plants and trees die, the carbon they've stored gets released again.

That means humans need to come up with ways of removing carbon from the air and storing it. This is called Direct Air Capture (DAC). The science of removing carbon from the air is challenging, and it's still pretty new. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}So one puzzle for these companies is how to remove carbon without creating more pollution.

A company called Heirloom has just opened the first DAC plant in the United States. The company heats up the limestone to separate out the CO2, which is concrete. The process is extremely expensive. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}That's a tiny amount compared to how much carbon needs to be removed from the atmosphere, but the company says it hopes to remove a billion tons per year by 2035.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Some people worry that it will take too long for DAC technology to become powerful enough to make a difference. Others worry that focusing on removing carbon could take attention away from more important climate actions, like switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy. But experts say the decision isn't to do one or the other. The world needs to end fossil fuel use and pull carbon out of the air.

A. Plants and trees do this naturally.
B. That's a huge and challenging goal.
C. Not everyone is excited about carbon removal.
D. Graphyte is another US company working on DAC.
E. The new plant can remove 1,000 tons of CO2 a year.
F. Most DAC processes require a large amount of energy.
G. As a matter of fact, CO2 is just a small part of the gases that make up air.
