In a cold winter, a couple had to move out from the luxury (豪华的) house because of bankruptcy（破产）. The husband worked day and night to support the family but with no care of his wife. So she thought, "He doesn't love me any more. He just cares about his business ...... not me".

    One day, she began to take a bath, but he stopped her at the door, "Let me take it first, okay?"

    "Why not let me shower first," she asked.

    "I was tired, sweetie! You take it later, okay?" She was totally discouraged. (泄气的)

    On a tiring day, she found nothing to do and turned on his computer, a few words blurred(使……模糊)her eyes. It was his diary:

    Today, I was quite sad. She asked me why I was always taking the bath first, and I said to her that I was tired out. She was unhappy, in her mind, to think I treated her not as well as usual. But what can I do? I was not as rich as before! We moved to the small apartment, and there was only a shower in the bathroom. It was so cold to take a shower in such a freezing winter. But I found that if one person took the shower first, the room could get warmer, so every time I rushed to the bathroom first. I was thinking that, when she took the shower, the room would get warmer, at least 1℃, 2℃ or 3℃. Now I can't give her comfortable life, bring her the luxury restaurant, buy expensive dresses for her, but at least, I can give her 1℃ love.

    After reading the diary, the wife was deeply moved.

    Last summer holiday I went to Taiwan with my parents. Taiwan is really beautiful! The weather is good. It is always warm and humid(潮湿的) because the sea is around Taiwan. In the north, there is winter, but in the south, there's no winter and you can enjoy sunshine(阳光). The typhoon(台风) season is from June to September.

    There are many mountains in Taiwan. Ali Mountain is one of the biggest mountains there. We went to climb Ali Mountain one afternoon. There are many trees in the forest there. They are very tall and many of them are really old.

    Sun Moon Lake is the largest natural lake in Taiwan. In the lake there are many kinds of fishes.

    We also went to the beach and enjoyed the sunshine. There are many kinds of foods in the small towns near the sea. A kind of dumplings with shrimps(虾) in them is my favourite.

    Taiwan is a beautiful island. I love it! I took many photos there. Would you love to see them?

    My name's Bob. I went to Qingdao on vacation with my family this summer. We went there by bus. We visited Qingdao Polar Ocean World first. We saw many different kinds of fish and other sea animals. It was really interesting. For lunch we had sea food. It was delicious. After lunch, we went to the May Fourth Square. It was beautiful. We took some photos there. Then we went to the beach. It was cool. But there were too many people. We went shopping in the evening, and I bought something interesting for my friends. Everything was excellent. We had a wonderful time there and I hope to go there again.

When they finished the moving, Mom took Jane to meet her new teacher. The teacher said, "Welcome to our school Jane. Let me tell you what we do in our second-grade class. We start the day with reading and writing. After that, we do math. Then we go out to recess(休息). Just before lunch, we have social studies. We eat lunch at eleven o'clock. Then we have story time. After story time, we have science. Then comes learning centers where you can work on the computer, play a game, or read a book. Next, we have spelling. And then we go to the music class. From 3:00 to 4:00, we have some lessons for you and you can take one of them. Here is a schedule for you to take home. I'll see you tomorrow, Jane!"
