In the universe, as we know, there is the Sun, the moon, the Earth and a good many stars. Through our geography lessons, we know the Earth goes around the Sun, and the moon goes around the Earth. We have day and night because the Earth keeps turning all the time. When our part of the Earth turns to the Sun, it is day. When our part of the Earth turns away from the Sun, it is night.

Just because the moon is closer to the Earth than the Sun, it looks much bigger than the Sun. Big things will look smaller when they are farther, and small things also look bigger when they are nearer.

The Sun is bright enough to give out very strong light. The moon can't give any light at all, but it looks quite bright, too. Why?In fact, the light from the moon comes from the Sun. The moon looks much bigger and brighter than the stars. But actually (事实上) the stars are much bigger and brighter than the moon. They look smaller than the moon also because they are farther away from the Earth.

There are still many other planets in the universe. But of all these planets, only on Earth there are living things and people can only live on Earth, too. But at 9∶00 am on October 15th 2003,Chinese astronaut Yang Liwei was set up to space. He stayed there for 21 hours. It was the first time for Chinese to get into space.

(1)、We find the Sun ______ than the moon because it is ______ to us.
A、bigger; farther B、smaller; closer C、bigger; closer D、smaller; farther
(2)、When our part of the Earth turns away from the Sun, the other part of the Earth is ______.
A、night B、day C、evening D、Sunday
(3)、People and living things can live on ______.
A、Earth B、Mars C、moon D、Sun
(4)、When did the astronaut from our country return to the Earth?
A、On November 15th, 2002. B、On October 16th, 2003. C、On May 15th, 2004. D、On October 15th, 2003.
(5)、Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?
A、The moon goes around the Earth, and it can't give out any light at all. B、The moon goes around the Sun, and its light is from the Sun. C、The Earth moves round the moon, and people can live only on Earth. D、Of all the planets, only the Earth moves round the Sun.

Garden building is considered an important part of Chinese culture. Some people say that if you have never walked through a Chinese garden, you cannot say that you have really visited China.
Traditional Chinese gardens are located(位于)in North China in such places as Beihai Park, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City. In larger imperial gardens, the main buildings are connected by an imaginary(虚构的) line in the middle of the garden on the north-south axis(轴). Other features (特征)of imperial gardens are colored-paintings, man-made hills and lakes.
Most private gardens are found in the south, especially in cities south of the Yangtze River. Private gardens were mostly built at one side or at the back of the houses. Around the beautiful scene are small open areas with beautiful shaped-doors through which visitors can enjoy the sights. They are open on all sides and are often near the water so that the whole scene can be enjoyed. Suzhou, known as the home of gardens, displays the most and the best Chinese traditional private gardens. Different parts of it are examples of the garden style of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The landscape garden contains a number of pleasant natural scenes and some fairy tales. The ancient Chinese used to call the garden landscape “Jing” , which means “scene” in English. Good examples include the ten West Lake Scenes in Hangzhou, the twenty-four slim West Lake in Yangzhou and the eight Daming Lake Scenes in Jinan.

Virtual (虚拟的)reality is a way to create a computer-made environment that brings the user into a virtual world. If you ever have put on a VR headset, you would know exactly what I am talking about. From an experiential view we do understand the idea, but what about the technical backend that goes into making it all possible? In this blog, we will understand the technology behind virtual reality and the basic terms about the development of a virtual ecosystem for a VR headset.

The primary subject of virtual reality is simulating (模拟)the vision. Every headset is to perfect their method to create an immersive (浸人式)3D environment. Each VR headset puts up a screen or two in front of eyes, keeping the user away from any interaction with the real world. Two autofocus lenses (自动对焦镜片)are generally placed between the screen and the eyes that change based on eye movement and positioning. The vision appears on the screen either by using a mobile phone or HDMI line connected to a PC.

To create a truly immersive virtual reality, there are certain requirements a frame rate (帧 率)of at least 60 fps, a refresh rate and at least 100﹣degree field of view (though 180 degrees is perfect). If either of these doesn't work according to the standards, the user will experience too big of a time difference between their actions and the response from the screen. We need the response to be less than 20 ms (1/1000 second) to fool the brain which is achieved by joining all the above in the right proportion (比例).Another matter that needs to be looked at here is to prevent netsickness because of the differences between the frame rate and refresh rate.

Apart from the image, there are certain other things that go into creating an immersive VR experience, holding the user's attention completely in the virtual environment. For example, sound effects, when put with the image, can create very attractive effects. By using a headphone and 3D sound effects, the user can totally believe in the virtual environment. While perfecting sound effects, proper care needs to be taken about the consistency (一致)between the pictures and the sound. If you start playing frightening music in the background of a happy scene, it will just put the user off.

In future, we will see rapid progress in creating a truly immersive digital experience. With leading players like Google, Microsoft, Oculus, and HTC making great efforts to improve the capabilities (性能),we are not far from achieving a virtual reality that would feel so much better than the real world. If you would like to develop a VR app for your business, then feel free to get in touch. With over 10 years of experience in mobile technologies, we can make every dream a reality.

When someone says, "Well, I guess I'll have to go to face the music", it does not mean he is planning to go to a concert. It is something far1 , like being called in by your boss to explain why you did this or that, and why you did not do this or that. Sour (剌耳的; 拙劣的) music, indeed, but it has to be faced.

The phrase "to face the music" is2 to every American, young and old. It is at least 100 years old. Where did the expression come from?

The first information comes from the American writer James Fennimore Cooper. He said in 1851 that the expression was first used by actors while waiting in the wings to go on stage.3 they got their clue (提示) to go on, they often said, "It's time to go to face the music. " And that is exactly what they did—face the orchestra (管弦乐队) which was just below the stage.

An actor might be 4 or nervous as he moved on to the stage in front of the audience that might be friendly or perhaps unfriendly especially if he forgot his lines. But he had to go out. So, "to face the music" came to mean having to go through something, no matter how terrible the experience might be, because you know you 5

The other explanation comes from the army. Men had to face inspection (视察) by their leader. The soldiers6 about how well they looked. Was their equipment clean and shiny enough to pass inspection? Still, the men had to go out, and face the music of the band, as well as the inspection. What else could they do?
