One Christmas, Celina received a special gift—a blue plastic piece. There is green, blue and faded mica(褪色的云母片)in it. It has the same as a hand mirror. It was similar to a kind of fish which looked useful nor beautiful. She thanked, and forgot it.
One day. Celina the dining room. When she took down the box from the bookcase, the strange gift was found. This time she noticed a hook(钩)at one end, and there were several on the bottom of the box: Hang on a window.
Then Celina went to the kitchen, hung this gift on a window with the sunshine pouring in all day. To surprise，amazing colorful light came into the kitchen. Through the little blue mica colors turnedgreen to dark blue，and then to purple …just like the fantastic sea waves. She had thought such a small strange gift could lead to a beautiful sea world. On Christmas day Celina didn't find that kind of beauty. But at the moment she understood: a common thing will be so beautiful as long as you make use of it .
The gift has been hung on the window. Every day it reminds her that she should some time finding the beauty hidden in people and gifts, it's an important lesson for her.

Kate and Bruce worked in the same company (公司) in New York. They were good {#blank#}1{#/blank#} often joked with each other.

"No," said Kate.
"Am I in Paris?"
"No," said Kate.

"Of course," said Kate.
"And if I' m somewhere else, I can't be here， can I? Ten dollars, please."

Charlotte Simmonds is a 17-year-old student from Sydney, Australia. Charlotte spends most of her flee time on the beach {#blank#}1{#/blank#}she is also a surf(冲浪) life saver. Charlotte loves helping people on the beach. "Everybody can see {#blank#}10{#/blank#}on the beach because we wear red and yellow hats, shirts and shorts: If you can't see us, that means we can' t see you, So maybe you aren't safe," she said.
