It first came out in 1852．Over 300,000{#blank#}2{#/blank#}were sold out in a year．People had {#blank#}3{#/blank#}ideas about the book．In the North, more and more people began to{#blank#}4{#/blank#}theft support(支持)for the freedom(自由)for the black people after they read the book, but in the South, many people were very{#blank#}5{#/blank#}at the people in the North. In 1861, the war between the two parts of the country{#blank#}6{#/blank#}. Uncle Tom's Cabin surely played a part in the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. In 1862, Abraham Lincoln met Harriet Beecher Stowe, the book's {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. As he took her hand. Lincoln said, "So this is the little lady who started this big war."

    This summer, my family and my aunt's family went to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Parks in Canada. We spent most of the time hiking(徒步).

    One day, we hiked to a popular hiking way in Canada. Everything was beautiful. My cousin and I saw lots of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} animals like squirrels(松鼠) and chipmunks(花栗鼠). Surprisingly we saw a chipmunk with dirty hands. His hands were {#blank#}3{#/blank#} of berry juice! My cousin and I named it Jairo. We 7{#blank#}4{#/blank#} that Jairo was a very clever chipmunk. He {#blank#}5{#/blank#} us the whole time. My cousin said, “Do you want to shake {#blank#}6{#/blank#}with him?” So I held out my hand. I could {#blank#}7{#/blank#}believe it when he touched my hand! It was the {#blank#}8{#/blank#}time in my life I had touched a wild animal. I did it! What an {#blank#}9{#/blank#} moment!

    At that moment, I believed that animals could be friends. People and animals should live together {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.
