A field trip is a journey by a group of people to a place away from {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（they）normal environment.

    The purpose of the trip is usually observation for {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(educate), non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(activity), such as going {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(camp) with their teachers and classmates. In western culture people first come across this method during school years {#blank#}6{#/blank#}classes are taken on school trips to visit a geographical feature of the landscape. Much of the early research into the natural sciences {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(be) of this form. Charles Darwin is considered to be {#blank#}8{#/blank#}important example of someone who has contributed {#blank#}9{#/blank#}science through the use of field trips.

    S. T. Harvey wrote a children's book Miracle, a fictional story about trying to fit in when you stand out. Since it was released earlier this year, the book {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (appear) in classrooms and libraries {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the country, bringing with it {#blank#}3{#/blank#} powerful message about the importance of kindness.

It isn't easy being the new kid, especially since Auggie looks different from everybody {#blank#}8{#/blank#} The book takes readers on a journey, as Auggie and his community learn about {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (friend) and acceptance.

    Harvey worked as an art director and graphic designer for more than 20 years before she {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (inspire) to write Miracle. Now she is using the book to promote the impact of kindness.

    As less people choose to make sugar paintings, the traditional Chinese folk craft might have become a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(distance) memory in some ways. However, a 38-year-old craftsman, Li Jiangzhong, is committed to {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(keep) the art of sugar painting alive.

    Li worked as {#blank#}3{#/blank#}miner for more than ten years. After the mine closed down, Li turned {#blank#}4{#/blank#}housing decoration, until he {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(force) to give that up due to a finger {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(injure). Earlier this year, he discovered sugar painting, something he really had an interest in.

    Since there was no sugar painting craftsman in his village, he studied by {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(he) through large quantities of videos and information on the Internet. He soon mastered the skill and could make a variety of sugar paintings. A sugar painting is made with {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(melt) brown or white sugar. Craftsman {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(normal) paint animals and flowers on a stone board with the syrup（糖浆）. When the sugar cools down,{#blank#}10{#/blank#}appears is a piece of sugar craft.

    I enjoyed English, biology, and chemistry at school, but which one should choose {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (study) at university? I did not know the answer until one evening when I sat down at the computer to do some research on great women of China.

    By chance I came across an article about a doctor {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (call) Lin Qiaozhi, a specialist {#blank#}3{#/blank#} women's diseases. She lived from 1901 to 1983. Who were the women that Lin Qiaozhi thought needed this advice? I looked {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (careful) at the text and realized that it was intended for women in {#blank#}10{#/blank#} countryside. Perhaps if they had an emergency they could not reach a doctor.

    No body language can be more attractive than smiling. Not only can a beautiful smile make us happy, but also it enables others to feel {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(delight). {#blank#}2{#/blank#} smile is so powerful that it gives people great courage, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (make) them feel better.

    A little boy {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (name) LangZheng, for instance, impressed and encouraged a great many people after a serious earthquake happened in WenChuan. Right after he {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (rescue) by the soldiers from the ruins, he saluted(敬礼) and smiled to them. His smile was like sunshine {#blank#}6{#/blank#}warmed people who were in {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(sad).

    {#blank#}8{#/blank#}smile, our life would be colorless and difficult. It is suggested that we {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (smile) as much as possible. If you are happy, you should smile; if you are not happy, you must smile. Just smile, and you can {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (true) attain happiness.
