The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most significant traditional festivals. It{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(celebrate) on the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar.

    The festival is said to be{#blank#}2{#/blank#}honour of Qu Yuan, a great poet who tried all his best to help his own country but failed and committed suicide by drowning himself in Miluo River. The folks respected and loved him so much{#blank#}3{#/blank#}they threw zongzi into the river{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(prevent) fish from eating his body. Later it became a custom for people to eat zongzi and watch dragon boat races on that day.

    To advance and enrich the fine cultural heritage of the nation, the Dragon Boat Festival has been an{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(office) public holiday in our country since 2008.

    Graffiti (涂鸦) and street art are forms of art created on walls or public surfaces. This art is often considered illegal because it is done without the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (permit) of the building owners. These art forms {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (exist) since the times of ancient Greece.     Gerrard Street, which is between Leicester Square and Shaftsbury Avenue, is the most important street in the area. There is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} unique community with many Chinese restaurants, supermarkets and shops.

    In the 1950s, it{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (be) a poor area and everything there was very cheap. With the world rice market changing, thousands of farm workers in Hong Kong lost their jobs, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(move) to work in some restaurants in London. Londoners and tourists go there {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (main) for the food in the Chinese restaurants. Their favorite restaurants are where the Chinese eat.
