    He skated along，a smile on his face，thinking of all the good things when he noticed a small bench on the side of the street．He just wanted to do one little trick on the skateboard，before selling it．He decided to do a kickflip boardslide．He didn't land on the bench and fell off the skateboard，hitting his knee on the curb （路缘）．

    Larry flies in the chair for 45 minutes. Then the balloons begin to lose air, slowly the chair comes down, and Larry is back on the ground. He is not hurt.

    Peter is a smart boy but he doesn't do well at school, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Sometimes he brings food from the school dining room to classroom. He is noisy and doesn't always listen to teachers in class. His head teacher, Ms Smart, are not happy. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    She knows Peter wants to be the monitor(班长) of the class. So she asks Peter to be the monitor for a week. Peter is very happy. He gets up and arrives at school early every morning.

He made a candle that took exactly twelve hours to burn. Then he marked this candle in twelve equal(相等的) parts. He lit the candle and could tell the time by counting the number of parts left of the burning candle. But the candle clock did not always work well. If there was a wind blowing on the candle, it burned too quickly.
