There once was a wise man who was very respected for his wisdom. This great man was called the Wise Circle Maker. His people believed that he had special powers to make it rain.

    But the Wise Circle Maker did not know everything about life often, when he saw things that he did not understand, he would ask questions, hoping to find the answers.

    One day, he noticed a man panting a fruit tree. He asked the man, "When will this tree bear fruit? How long will it take?"

    The man said that it would take 70 years for fruit to come to the tree.

"And how old are you now?" asked the Wise Circle Maker.

    "I am almost 50 years old" replied the man.

"And do you think you will live to taste the fruit from this tree?" asked the Wise Circle Maker.

    "I am already old and will never taste the fruit from this tree I plant. But when I was born, I saw many fruit trees like this planted by my father, and his father. And I ate the fruit from those trees." replied the man.

    "This tree is for my children, my grandchildren and for their children too. They will taste the fruit of this tree. That is why I am planting it not for me, but for them."

The Wise Circle Maker was impressed. He could easily see the meaning He walked away happily, knowing that he still had much to learn about life.

Judy is from the US. She is twelve years old. She  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(study) at No. 14Middle School. She likes China. She  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(learn) Chinese now. She says Chinese is interesting but very difficult. 

Yesterday  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(be) Sunday. She got up very early. She  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(run) for a long time. Then she cleaned her room and  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (stay) at home. She studied maths in the morning and played sports in the afternoon. 

Children's Day is next Sunday, but Dong Fei is not happy. Her father is in Beijing. He is very busy and can not come back to Nanjing. Now, Dong Fei is in her room with Lin Min, her cousin. Dong Fei says,"I don't think I'm important(重要的) to my father. He is always busy with his work. Next Sunday is Children's Day. But he can not come back."

The telephone rings and Dong Fei goes to answer it. It's from her father." Feifei, can you come to the airport(机场) at 4:00 next Sunday afternoon? I can be there for only an hour. I have something for you."

" Yes, Daddy! Yes!" says Dong Fei.

After Dong Fei puts down the telephone, her cousin says," Well, I think your father really loves you. What about you? Do you love him?"

" Yes." says Dong Fei.

" Well, do you know it's Father's Day today?" Liu Min says.

" Oh, what? I'm so sorry." says Dong Fei.

It's Sunday today. Peter doesn't go to 1 . Now he is free and he wants to 2 computer games, but his mother Mrs. Smith 3 him to do his Chinese homework(家庭作业) first. Then he can do the 4 he likes. Peter isn't 5 . He asks," Mom, do you love me?"

 What a nice Peter! What a clever mother!

When I was ten, I realized that my elder sister was different. We were in the same school. She was so1 that she couldn't even look at people in the eye. So I never told anyone 2 that she was my sister. However, one thing happened just two years ago. It changed3 I thought of her. It also changed me.
