Our dog Abbey died last month. My 4-year-old daughter Lucy missed her a lot and asked if we could write a letter to God to make sure he could look after Abbey well. I told Lucy that I thought we could, and she dictated (口述) these words:

Dear God,

① you, take, dog, of, will, care, my , please (?) She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Lucy and addressed it to God/Heaven. Yesterday, we received a package addressed, “To Lucy” with this note:

Dear Lucy,

Abbey has arrived in heaven.

She isn't sick anymore. ② Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. You don't need to worry about her. She's being looked after very well here. Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. ③ You have a wonderful mother. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I'm easy to find. I am wherever there is love.

    In China, safety education is becoming more and more important now. The last Monday in March is for students to learn it at school. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  What are the accidents at school? Take a look.

    A stampede always happens in crowed places. When students around you begin to push, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} If you fall down in the crowd, move to one side and protect your head with you your hands around.

    When earthquakes happen, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} It'll protect you from falling things. If you are outdoors, find a place away from buildings, trees, and power lines.

    When there is a fire, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} It's better to put something wet over your mouth and nose. In this way, you won't breathe in smoke. Many people die in a fire, not because of the fire but smoke. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} That's very dangerous! So when you want to get out, you should make yourself close to the floor. Then you can breathe some fresh air.

    Most people like dumplings, What about you? If you also like them, come to our restaurant for lunch or dinner. We have many kinds of dumplings in our restaurant.

    Look at the menu(菜单)first. We have three great specials today. Special One is beef and carrot dumplings. They are 10 yuan for a small bowl and 15 yuan for a large bowl. Special Two is mutton and onion dumplings. They are only 12 yuan for each. Special 3 is cabbage and tofu dumplings. If you don't like meat, you can have this kind of dumplings. They're only 8 yuan for each. Orange juice is only 2 yuan. The dumpling soup is free all day. Welcome to our restaurant.
