It was night by the time she came to a town. Just outside the town, there was a large temple(寺庙). It was very quiet. There was only one light in one of the rooms.
"I will stay here tonight," she thought.
The temple was quiet because only a goblin(小妖精)lived in it. But the girl did not know this.
Once inside the temple, she came near to the only room. She knocked on the door, but no one came.
"Is anyone here?" she called quietly.
There was no answer, so she went into the room. Inside the room, there was only a mat(垫子)on the floor, a light near the window, and a large paper screen.
The girl wanted to sleep, but she also wanted to draw some cats. She drew them on the paper screen. She drew cats of every kind.
After that, she lay down and went to sleep. Then she remembered the nun's words: Don't go into large places at night. Go only into small ones.
"This room is very large. And I am alone. I'll hide myself."
She looked around the room and saw a large box. She opened the box and looked inside. It was empty.
"Good," she thought. "I can hide in this box."
The pupils and teachers at Fairfield School think it's necessary to protect the environment! This is what they've been doing.
Growing vegetables
Fairfield School pupils started their own vegetable garden. Both children and teachers grow vegetables, then they pick them. In this way, school dinners are more delicious than ever before.
Recycling
The Fairfield pupils don't just bring their books to school — they bring their rubbish too! There are recycling bins(回收箱) in the playground for cans, plastic bottles and paper. The teachers give a prize every month to the pupil who's tried the hardest to recycle.
Finding cleaner ways to get around
Everyone walks or rides a bike to Fairfield School! “It's faster to ride bikes than to drive anyway, even the teachers don't use their cars.” says one pupil.

How do you find happiness every single day? How do you get more out of life and live life to the fullest? There are three easy ways to help you to enjoy your daily life.
One way to find happiness within you is to show your appreciation(感激)to others. Showing appreciation not only gives happiness to others, but also we can receive happiness in return by writing a letter of appreciation and for the response we get. Often maybe you are strict with yourself by telling yourself you could have done things better. Have a look at your life and think about what you have achieved today. So take 5 minutes right now to write down what you have achieved in life and what you are proud of.
Have you ever kept a diary? Sometimes writing things down will give you a clear thinking and allows you to let go of things. When you write in a diary, you have the ability to express yourself as you truly would like to be.
Each of the above three easy steps takes only 15 minutes. Not only can it produce happiness for you, but also it will help others be in good feeling. Why not have a try right now?

A. The reasons for getting hiccups B. An invention C. Three awards D. Making hiccups go away E. The hiccup is a common problem |
{#blank#}1{#/blank#}Have you ever hiccupped(打嗝)in a quiet room full of people? Have you ever hiccupped so hard that you had to stop what you were doing? The hiccup is a problem that almost everyone has experienced.
{#blank#}2{#/blank#}People get hiccups for some reasons. Hiccups might result from eating or drinking too much or too quickly. A sudden change in the stomach's temperature, such as drinking hot water immediately after drinking cold water, may also cause hiccups. They may even happen because of being excited or being under a lot of stress.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#}Ideas on how to stop hiccups have been created, shared, and tried for years. However, what works for one person may not work for everyone. Perhaps the most common method people use is to hold their breath for a few seconds. If this doesn't work, you can try swallowing(吞下)hard while holding your breath. There are also some strange-sounding ways, like drinking a lot of water.
{#blank#}4{#/blank#}A young girl named Mallory Kievman couldn't make her hiccups go away. She knew that sweet and sour things were commonly used to cure hiccups, and she knew that swallowing hard could also help. She decided to use the two ideas to make a special lollipop(棒棒糖). After she failed many times, Mallory invented a lollipop that worked by putting water, sugar and vinegar (醋)together.
{#blank#}5{#/blank#}Mallory wanted to find out whether her lollipops would help others. She gave her lollipops to friends. Most of them were cured of their hiccups after eating the lollipops. Mallory entered a competition with her lollipop and won three awards for her creative idea. She was successful.
