阅读理解

It was a rush hour in the morning. Too many people were in a line and all of them were waiting to buy their breakfast. It was my turn to buy mine soon. I just wanted to get my breakfast without getting out of my car because I had to get to work on time.

Then I found a woman behind me in line. She looked really tired and she had two kids with her.

I got close to the window and told the assistant that I wanted to buy breakfast for the woman. I also asked the assistant to give her my smile card. The assistant was surprised, and said with a smile she would.

When I went forward(向前) for a few metres, I stopped to see the assistant give the woman behind me the smile card and breakfast.  At the same time, I saw the assistant pointing at(指) my car while the woman was looking at my direction (方向) in surprise.

Do you feel lonely(孤单的) when your best friend isn't in the same class? Here's our advice for you.

It's hard when a best friend isn't around— maybe because he or she moved to a different school or a different class. You may feel left out during break or lunchtime. You want to make new friends, but how do you find them? Maybe it seems like everybody has his or her own friends. But remember, there's always room(空间) for more friends.

Start by looking around your classroom— think about which kids you'd like to play with during break. Try saying hello to them, smile, and be friendly. Share something with them. Ask some classmates to play with you or say " Do you want to play together?" in the playground. When you're at break, walk to kids you want to play with, and say " Hi, can I join you?" or just join in them.

If you still don't know how to make friends by yourselves or if you're shy, ask your teacher to help you. Teachers are usually very good at finding people who need friends. The best way to make friends is to be a friend. Being kind, being friendly, sharing, saving nice things, giving other people— soon, you'll have one, or two, or more new friends.

Maybe you still miss your old friends. But when you see them again, you can share something you see recently. You can also introduce him or her to your new friends.
