Pinatas(彩饰陶罐)

    In Mexico, children often get pinatas on their birthday．Their parents put chocolates and other sweets inside the pinata and hang it on a tree．Then the children hit the pinata with a stick. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

Noodles

    In China，people often celebrate birthdays by eating with family or friends，and the last dish of the meal is always noodles. The noodles are long and thin. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} You can't cut them. In Chinese culture，long noodles mean you will have a long life.

Business birthdays

    A business birthday shows that a company is successful．Many businesses in the USA celebrate important birthdays, like 10, 50 or 150 years．{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Sometimes they make TV advertisements．It is a good chance to advertise the business.

Name days

    As well as a birthday, many people in Southern Europe also celebrate their name day. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} People have big parties and open their houses to anybody who wants to come．People bring small gifts，often flowers or a box of sweets．

Islamic New Year

    In Muslim(穆斯林) countries across the world，people celebrate Eid. Eid means festival or celebration．During Eid，people visit family and friends，as well as people who are sick or in hospital．{#blank#}5{#/blank#}Children receive toys，too．Children often wear special traditional clothes during the Eid celebrations.

    Parents should help their children understand money. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} So you may start talking about money when your child shows an interest in buying things, candy or toys, for example.

    ⒈The basic function of money

    Begin explaining the basic function of money by showing how people trade money for goods or services. It is important to show your child how money is traded for the things he wants to have. If he wants to have a toy, give him the money and let him hand the money to the cashier (收银员). {#blank#}2{#/blank#} When your child grows a bit older and understands the basic function of money, you can start explaining more complex ways of using money.

    ⒉Money lessons

    Approach money lessons with openness and honesty. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} If you must say no to a child's request to spend money, explain, “You have enough toy trucks for now.” Or, if the request is for many different things, say, “You have to make a choice between this toy and that toy.”

    Begin at the grocery store. Pick out two similar brands of a product— a name-brand butter and a generic (无商标产品)，for example. Later, you may explain how the more expensive choice leaves less money for other purchases.

    Not to sound like your grandmother (go ahead and sit still!), but the smallest ways to show your thanks are these little words. They take zero effort to say, but the impact is huge. Aren't you thankful someone held the door for you when your hands were full? {#blank#}3{#/blank#}!

    This is the best kind of multitasking! Whenever you get a little, give a little. There's a couple ways to finish: You can do it yourself (donating an older shirt when you pay for a new shirt, etc), or support companies that are passionate, good-hearted (really fun) do-gooders.     •Get in touch. Then listen.

    Maybe a grandparent is eating at the bit to hear about your adventures, or maybe an old friend had a really bad day, maybe your mom wishes you，d ring her up more often. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. You're member that your iPhone can make calls, right? Get in touch with those people that are dying to hear from you (because someone indeed is). Then, ask: How are you doing? What's new? These questions have such few syllables, but their depth is endless.

    The job interview is an important part of your job search because it's an opportunity for the employer to figure out if you're right for the job. The following tips may help you prepare for your job interview.

    ●Dress for success. Professional business clothes are always appropriate, regardless of the type of job you are applying for.

    ●Be there on time. Try to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to be safe. Find out ahead of time where you're going and how long it will take you to get there. Drive or travel the route a day or two ahead, at the same time of day as you will on the day of the interview. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Have a backup(备用)plan.

    ●Let your personality shine. If you're excited about the job, don't be afraid to show it. Employers want passionate employees, so be yourself.

    ●Be confident. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} But just don't let your nerves overpower your interview. Eye contact and a calm, clear speaking voice are excellent ways to show your confidence.

    ●Watch your body language. During your interview, relax and sit naturally, but don't slouch(没精打采地坐)in your chair or lean on the interviewer's desk.

    ●Be polite. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Remember, this is your first introduction to the organization, so be polite to everyone you meet and turn off your cell phone.

    ●Listen and ask for clarification(阐明), if you need it. Remember to listen carefully to the interview questions so that you can actually answer the questions, and never interrupt. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    ●Let them know what you have to offer. When answering the questions, let the employer see what you have to offer to his organization. Talk about your past experiences and achievements honestly, and tie those experiences to how they can help you contribute to his organization.

And I think there is something we can learn from the young ones.

    Forgive and Forget

    Babies can laugh and giggle all day because they don't keep hatred against anyone.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Do you think they've constructed an evil plan against you because you refused them candy last time? Probably not, life moved on and so did they. So why do we hold on to our past and refuse to let go of the emotional baggage? Does it do us any good except prevent us from laughing to the fullest?

    Endless questions of young kids can sometimes be enough to drain the adult mind. They are always busy wondering how things work or why things are the way they are, leaving no room for boredom. Their curiosity gives them an exponential learning curve; they pick up new things quickly and do not refuse to change.

    Unconditional Love

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}They don't judge you before they come running into your knees and they don't walk away if you don't give them the same in return. They have no expectations from you and simply do what their heart desires. If you want a hug, they'll give you a hug; if you want two, they'll give you two. So how does the adult world become so materialistic that we decide what we give based on what we think we might receive?

    Living life to the fullest is not a difficult task; you just need to have the right attitude and an open mind.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}
